De locatie was prima, een heel rustig straatje, met vriendelijke buren. Binnen een paar minuten lopen was een prachtig park met een mooi wandelpad langs de singels, waar veel boten en jachten lagen. Het was ook vlak bij de schilderachtige Noorderhaven, de veerhaven voor vertrek naar de eilanden, en het gezellige winkelcentrum. Het huisje was brandschoon. Een kamer met open keuken met alle benodigdheden om een maaltijd te maken en aangrenzend een ruime badkamer. Boven is een fraai betimmerde zolder, heel knus. Het huisje is een arbeiderswoninkje, meer dan 100 jaar oud, maar smaakvol gerenoveerd.
We hadden voor 4 personen geboekt, maar het huisje is niet geschikt voor 4 volwassenen. Op de zolder is een groot (en heerlijk) tweepersoonsbed, met daarboven een extra bed getimmerd voor een derde persoon, waar je via een laddertje in moet klimmen. Er is ook een rek om kleding op te hangen en een ladenkast. Beneden is een bedbank voor een vierde persoon, maar geen kast of opbergruimte voor kleding. Voor ouderen die moeite hebben met traplopen is het niet geschikt vanwege de steile trap zonder leuning. Mijn 80+ jarige medereizigers moesten daarom alsnog een hotelkamer boeken.

It is an amazing house capturing traditional spirit of the area, ful of charm and very nice and comfortable. Location is amazing, in a very old city core, next to the English garden, one of the amenities of the Harligen.
