Central to everything, the suite we were in was beautiful, and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly

The hotel is right in the center of town, easy to find and convenient to everything. Check-in was good and the cleaning staff was friendly.
We had an unfortunate incident (not the hotel's fault) of a fire in our microwave. The cleaning staff came right away and the front desk staff a few minutes later, but when they showed up, they were combative, unhelpful and unconcerned about our safety. We seemed to have to lead the way on next steps - how the alarm would get turned off (it was via the fire department), how to air out the room, and replacing the microwave. When we returned at the end of the day, our room had not been cleaned and we had to call to ask for it to be done the next day. Again, staff was combative, saying that the policy is not to clean every day. We were surprised, to say the least, that special attention was not given to a smoky room! They did come the next day.
