Situated in Grover Beach, this charming house for $199 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. (Note Vrbo maps is wrong -- this home is just a 2-minute drive from the beach) JUST A 5-MINUTE WALK TO THE BEACH! Relax in this gorgeous, updated 1935 California beach bungalow. New paint, flooring and beachy decor throughout. A large backyard with tons of seating, as well as a huge outdoor deck, sun-room, and sunny dining room. Quiet neighborhood but a very short walk to excellent restaurants of all types. Two large nearby groceries. You'll have the entire house to yourselves -- 3 bedrooms with closets, 2 full baths, full kitchen, living room, extra rec room, washer/dryer, barbeque grill – even Foosball! Fully stocked with kitchen supplies & linens. Plenty of on-site parking. We even provide free snacks! Ideal for families or friends. When you rent a vacation home you often only deal with a large property management company. They’re typically available only Monday to Friday, 9 to 5. And even if you reach them during office hours it can take days to solve an issue – usually after you’ve checked out. And you often have to check in, fill out paperwork and get keys at their office, which can be miles away. Our names are Melany & Jon and we own and manage this home ourselves. We’ve lived here for 30 years – California’s Central Coast is heaven on Earth to us! Your key will be waiting for you at the house in a lock-box. We live 5 minutes from the property and are available to help 24/7. You’ll have our personal cell number -- call or text ANYTIME! We’ll deal with any issue immediately. We are familiar with all the local shopping, activities, and restaurants (honestly we eat out too much). We’d LOVE to recommend places and activities to make your stay absolutely amazing!! We had a blast this past weekend - the house is located in a perfect location, near to a variety of great resources, including food, the Pismo butterfly groves, golf courses, and much more. The hosts were incredibly responsive and were able to help us with questions as they arose. Would highly recommend staying here!

The place is exactly as pictured and fit our family of 7 adults ages from 20s to 60s and we all slept comfortably. It’s very close to adorable little breakfast and restaurant spots nearby. The best part was how responsive the hosts were! They came by to say hello and give us a short overview of the place and came back a second time after accidentally blowing a fuse which was fixed quickly and without hassle! They were truly amazing!!

The hosts were wonderful and the house was spotless. It is as described, a 1935 beach house. I loved the vintage kitchen and it is rare to have a large fenced in yard at the beach. Perfect location for visiting Pismo and the area. The only suggestion for improving our stay would be to fix the spongy floor in the back bedroom.

Melany & Jon are top notch hosts, checking in and being available for any and all questions. Just a few blocks from the Grover beach front and quick 5 minute drive to Pismo, this was perfect as a home base for our family of 7.

The backyard is amazing. Hosts were super helpful and answered any questions I had right away. Had dinner at a pizza spot the host recommended and it was amazing. Definitely will be back soon to stay at the property.

Hmmm, where to start. The house was super clean and close to stores, the beach and restaurants. There was 5 of us and the two girls shared a room, my mom and I shared a room and the only boy had his own room. The beds are huge and comfy. Check in was so easy. I loved the fact that they did check in with us to see if we had any questions etc….. they have a sun room (that’s what I call it) and I was the first one up and hung out there with a cup of coffee-for some me time. The first morning I didn’t know where my mom put the coffee but it was ok because we were able to use there’s. Everything that we needed was there and easy to find So do not be hesitant on this property to stay at. Trust me it’s so wonderful!!!!! These people think of everything. Even had mints by the bed in each room. I had asked if there was any instructions when we check out like stripping the beds etc…. Jon’s response was nothing at all, your on vacation. I truly enjoyed that. So go on and rent this place, you will be glad you did it.

We were in town for a 7v7 football tournament for my son and it was perfectly located. It was less than 10 minutes from the tournament and most importantly...5 minutes walk from the beach. There we plenty of room for us and our 2 dobermans.
Jon was in constant communication and checking on it needs and offering food/restaurant suggestions.
The bathroom in the bedroom is a little tight if you're bigger (my husband is 6'2") but still manageable. However if that's an issue for you the front bathroom is spacious. Overall it's a beautiful beach home that's perfectly located. I would definitely book again.

We stayed one night at this cozy, beachy home. It's spacious and charming and it had everything we needed! The decor is adorable and the beds are comfortable! The 5 minute walk to the beach is a plus! I had a broken leg at the time, and this house is very accessible. Highly recommend!

The house was nice as it slept all 5 of us adults very comfortably with the 3 nice king beds. The house had plenty of room as well. The only complaint was that the couches were extremely uncomfortable for sitting and watching tv or a movie. I also would suggest bringing your own towels. There were not enough for all of us so we had to buy some at Walmart. It was nice to have a washer and dryer though, so we could wash the towels that were there. Location was nice and close to Pismo and beach and restaurants.

Great stay for a couple of days. Super cute little old house with short walk to a great beach and wonderful local coffee shop. Owner was very communicative, friendly and helpful. Comfortable bedrooms/beds. Could use a few updates: couches/futons very uncomfortable; front bathroom shower doesn’t work great; cute deck with bistro lights but backyard is overgrown with plants and filled with old, broken furniture.

Cute house! The beds are comfortable (that's important)! The beach is so close and we were able to bring our dogs. The hosts left us a personalized wecolme and check in on us (via text) to make sure everything was going well. We will definitely stay here again!

Jon and Melany were fabulous hosts in their communication and responsiveness - the check-in process was very efficient and their support was always just a speedy text/call away. The 3 king size beds are comfy and were more than what we needed. Their generous pet policy was also great for bringing our furry children along with our toddlers on this trip up the beautiful central CA coast to view the wintering monarchs. Speaking of which, the location couldn't have been more perfect for visiting the Monarch Butterfly Preserve - the population was very healthy this year and we had a spectacular viewing that made our trip. Proximity to Grover Beach is also fantastic and the hosts have plenty of great restaurant recommendations for their guests. It was a very quick trip for us but Jon and Melany's kindness and attentiveness made this booking feel like 100% the right choice for what we needed.

The house is just like the photos - very clean, cool layout, good space to move around in. Location is a quiet area that is 10-15 min easy walk to beach. Plenty of local restaurants and shops in walking distance and short drive to larger towns/cities. Host are great - helpful w/recommendations and close by to address any issue (we had none).

Wonderful location. Great to have the dog. Only issue was funky little stove and no measuring cups (except one 1/3 cup) and no dishwasher so we tended to eat out or order in. Nice big fridge and yard. Lots of room for kids to play. John very attentive to our needs.

Maison pleine de charme mais assez ancienne avec des équipements anciens. Très bien pour un séjour de courte de durée.
En revanche l'équipement pour la cuisine est assez léger - peu de choses si on veut cuisiner. Quelques équipements très anciens et pas très propres : baignoire par ex. très ancienne et qui "fait" pas propre - d'ailleurs personne n'a voulu l'utiliser en préférant la douche. Des poeles pas propres non plus.
Propriétaires très agréables et avenants de notre arrivée à notre départ.

Visited with older family members and two small dogs. Was spacious with an enclosed yard perfect for our needs. Location is 2 min walking distance to Grand Street in Grover Beach, 7 min walking to the beach, and 6 min driving from Pismo Beach. Hosts are extremely responsive to needs :)

We had a wonderful stay at the cute beach house hosted by Jon & Melany. The location of the house is perfect. A couple of blocks from Grover beach and walkable to many restaurants. The house has a rustic charm although a couple of things in the bathroom and the kitchen could use some upgrade. Everything was functional and enough supplies were present. The fenced backyard made it easy for our dog to roam around without us having to be worried. Jon checked in with us a couple of times to make sure we were comfortable and we felt we could easily approach them if we needed anything. We will be back next summer!

The entire experience from prior to check-in to after checkout was amazing. The wonderful host checked in on us daily and gave us amazing advice on amazing restaurants in the area. The beautiful beach cottage was such a dream come true. Definitely will be booking again in the future.

Stayed here while we were in town for a cousin's wedding. Location is perfect-just a quick walk to the beach, which the kids loved. Also, great little coffee shop and bakery within short walking distance as well. We all agreed the beds were very comfy and the house very charming. The hosts are quick to respond and very accommodating!
