We had a wonderful weekend stay at Stony Porch. Dan & Kathi have created a fantastic cabin in a lovely setting. We loved the floor to ceiling windows overlooking the pasture below (especially with the fun surprise of a lot up tree!), bundled up and enjoyed a glass of wine from the “lookout,” and cooked ourselves a gourmet steak dinner in the well appointed kitchen. We loved being close to both San Antonio and Guadalupe River State Park. Dan & Kathi were communicative and helpful. Highly recommend!

Stoney Porch was absolutely beautiful! The cabin had everything we needed and the views from the cabin were beautiful. My husband and I were looking for a place to rest in the middle of a road trip around Texas, and this was the perfect location to do so. Kathi and Dan were great hosts, and very responsive and helpful! We hope to come back again for another perfect place to get away to!

Beautiful cabin close to Bulverde and New Braunfels but secluded from the world. large back porch overlooking a small medow where deer come and squirrels run about. the cabin itself is very cozy and has all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay.

It was an amazing little cabin, the cabin was clean, with all the amenities. We couldn’t use the fire pit, because of county burn ban. We had an amazing time shopping in the small neighboring towns. Saw some awesome Christmas lights

We had a wedding to go this weekend and wanted to get a quiet place for my husband and I. Lucky for us this quaint cabin was only a mile from the wedding. The cabin was wonderful for 2 people and communicating with the owners was a breeze. We would definitely come again if we are in the area. The only tiny complaint we had was the couch was a little small to sit and enjoy some tv.

We have stayed at many VRBO properties and this one ranked amongst the best! Things that stood out: ease of check in, ease of check out—there was no long list of all the things that needed to be done and cleaned before leaving. (I often wonder what the cleaning fee was for when I had to clean everything before leaving) ease of communication with property owners, clean and comfortable accommodations, beautiful surroundings, all of the amenities needed for a 5 day stay and a sweet welcome gift!

Such an amazing place to stay for when you want to just be alone in a safe quiet area. My favorite parts were the deer feeding, and how cute the place was decorated!
Definitely worth the price, can’t wait to come back when I want to get away from the exhausting city life.

What a spectacular place for my spouse and I to stay. When we entered the cabin, we were in awe. Our hosts are so sweet. We had to leave one day early due to some health issues. We enjoyed the view, the cabin, the cleanliness of the Cabin and the overall view etc. We will definitely be back.

Kathi and Dan stayed in touch through the whole stay, always checking in to make sure we were taken care of. The property was beautiful and so serene. It was so nice to be outside of city limits and enjoy nature. 10/10 recommend and will be sure to book again if ever in the area.

Beautiful place ::: pictures you see online don't do it justice.. my wife and I spent are anniversary there and had a real nice time.. if you like outdoors and porch time with a book and see red birds blue birds green little lizards crawling up the trees and so many deer.. (does/bucks).. outside gas grill was a hit for steaks and shrimp.. lights in the cabin dim low .. all the info you need as in where is all the attractions the will leave on the table for you.. just an all out great place to relax and enjoy life and your true other half... Trust me it's well worth it.. we will be back & my wife is telling everyone how lovely it is there.. The owners of the property and cabin are so nice, and they will go way over and beyond for you .. find out and reserve your stay, you will be glad you did..

Perfect cabin for our one night stay. Loved the surroundings and peaceful nature. Cabin is very well maintained. Kathi and Dan provided very clear and detailed instructions along with recommendations for where to eat and things to do in the area. Would definitely stay here again.

Brilliant cabin. Fantastic location. If you’re outdoorsy at all, this is the prime location for San Antonio related trips. Close enough that the river walk and events “in town” are fun evening trips, but the proximity to a myriad of nature attractions is the real seller.

After our wedding we needed a quiet place to getaway from it all and Stoney Porch was absolutely perfect. Love the woody-cabin feel. Watching the deer from the amazing porch was my favorite. Love being surrounded by wilderness. Though it’s not far from everything you need and more. We ate so much delicious food in the area. Tejas Steakhouse was off the charts. Highly recommend.

This was our 2nd stay at the Stoney Porch for a little getaway to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We arrived at about 3:00pm on June 25th to an immaculately clean cabin and a welcome bottle of wine in the fridge.
Dan kept in touch with us throughout our stay making sure we had everything we needed and our stay was going well.
We were able to easily access restaurants and activities in the local area visiting the Gristmill and Myron’s restaurants in Greune and New Braunfels for dinners and an afternoon visit to the Chapline Distillery for excellent bourbon drinks.
The BEST part of the Stoney Porch is the peace and quiet and the wildlife. We enjoyed watching the animals come to the area around the feeders seeing numerous deer, raccoons, and birds. It’s amazing the wildlife you can see if you just take the time to sit still and quiet on the porch at different times of the day. I’ve seen deer, raccoons, armadillos, foxes, chameleons, various birds including a beautiful owl that perched in the tree right off the porch at nightfall.
Stoney Porch is a WONDERFUL place to stay and we look forward to future visits!

Lovely stay—- great location and beautiful deck and lookout spots. We loved watching the deer and exploring nearby areas! It was very easy to find!! We will be back! Lots of nice personal touches throughout the cabin and in the yard.

The location is a small peaceful cabin with an added extra bonus of daily deer feedings, which you can see from the porch. The neighborhood is peaceful and you have the cabin to yourself. It should be noted that the hosts live a stone's throw away from the rental cabin, which does make it easier to get anything taken care of and handled but does make for an incompletely private setting.

The property was absolutely perfect. Beautiful view from the porch and outlook area. I sat outside most of my time there. Dan and Kathy were such great hosts, checked in but not intrusive. I’ll be back soon!

The property and the cabin itself was lovely. Hosts are available but not intrusive. Cabin is really nice and really clean. It feels both woodsy and modern at the same time. Lots of great places to sit outside - all shaded and with frequent deer visitors. Listings frequently say well-stocked kitchen. This one really was. Better than the pictures - we will be back!

We absolutely loved our stay here. The place was immaculately clean and we found it to be super cute and cozy. It is so peaceful sitting outside, watching the wild animals and listening to the sound of the breeze blowing through the trees. We really enjoyed the convenience of having a bbq pit and stocked kitchen. Hosts were responsive when I had questions. We will definitely return!
