Charming, beautifully restored home with lovely grounds. Excellent breakfasts and great conversations with Sallie and Ken and other guests. Great proximity to the Waterfront area.
Stairs are a challenge with luggage.

Location
We need king size room, but bath room was outside. We are okay and made it work, the owners are very nice couple. We really enjoyed the friendly hospitality.

The Briar Rose Inn was quite lovely and the owners were delightful. The breakfast was delicious. The bed was very comfortable. It was walking distance to the conference I was attending, and many restaurants and parks.
The problem with this property was the noise--no fault of the owners. It was difficult to sleep due to street noise; not being able to sleep makes it difficult to fully enjoy a stay at a place. That is the only reason I do not rate this property as excellent.
