all wonderful - we had a wonderful vacation and spent a lot of time exploring the areas, we made a lot of hikes in the Tyrona national park - the hotel has been absolutely wonderful,

We loved the staff and close proximity to the beach. The food was also good and the grounds were well kept.
We were on the ground floor right by the stairs so we were frequently woke up but we are both light sleepers. There was also heavy bass music until 4am one of the nights but that was out of hotels control.

La Mar de Bien is a very quiet 7-room boutique hotel in the Buritaca/Guachaca area. The staff is very welcoming, check-in was quite fast and the food quality quite good with decent prices considering the area. We liked the nature and trees surrounding the hotel, birds, bugs, and sea sounds, the large swimming pool, and the stunning beach.
To reach and leave the hotel for SMR, you must cross the collapsed Mendihuaca bridge on foot and switch cabs amid reckless drivers. Hopefully this gets sorted out shortly - the hotel is obviously not at fault.
