Very clean, cute apartment. Well appointed. Location can’t be beat. Pool was a nice plus. Short walk to beach. Apartment did get warm during the day since it does not have air conditioning. Once the windows are open and the ceiling fans are on, it cools down. Carpinteria is such a special little beach town. Great vacation spot for a family.

My husband, kids and I really enjoyed our stay here. The place was clean and cute, right across the street from the beach, and the addition of a pool and picnic tables were great touches. Highly recommend!

This unit is in a super location, with a partial view of the ocean from the living room, one block away between other complexes. The complex itself is well-kept, with nice landscaping, a lovely heated swimming pool, ample coin-operated laundry facilities and no shortage of off-street parking. It is located just a block from beautiful Carpinteria State Beach and just a couple of blocks from LInden Avenue, Carpinteria's main street with a great variety of restaurants, a good-sized grocery store and a brewery. The surrounding neighborhood is a mix of two-story multi-unit buildings and attractive but modest single-family houses. The town has a throwback feeling with a 50s/60s ambiance, lots of charm and none of the glitz of nearby Santa Barbara. I loved it. The beach, one block away, is fantastic and the main reason to come here.
My unit overall was pretty good - attractive and comfortable. At 500 square feet, it is a little bit small for an extended stay ( I was there for three weeks), especially with company. Both the bed in the bedroom and the Murphy bed were very comfortable, the kitchen was tight but adequate, and was well-stiocked with everyday needs. The shower in the bathroom is my biggest complaint - limited pressure and the water temperature often varied for no apparent reason.
The day I arrived, I discovered the heater for the unit wasn't working and the key to the pool and laundry room was missing. Management was generally pretty responsive to these and other concerns, and they were resolved within a day or two, but a good check-in procedure would have caught these issues before I arrived. The only other issue I want to call out is the wooden shutters in the living room. These did not work well and were an ongoing, if minor, irritant. I mentioned this to management, who informed me that the owner was aware of this but had chosen not to repair them.

Quiet paradise
Great location across the street from the beach. We caught every sunset and loved hearing the surf at nice. Also wonderful to be able to walk to everything town had to offer, as well as the amtrak station for further exploration. The unit had everything we needed and the heated pool and common area was great. I would definitely go there again and recommend to my friends.

October Carp Stay
Clean, comfortable and right across from the beach. We couldn't have been happier with the space and location. Kitchen is small but well equipped and there is a communal grill. We spent 5 days at this property and were blown away by the location, which exceeded our expectations. A lot of places will state that the beach is "just a block away," when that really means a 15-minute walk. This unit is literally across the street from the beach. Additionally, the property managers included some thoughtful touches that made our stay even better, including beach chairs and umbrella, and quality beach towels to use. We did enjoy the clean pool, and wish we would have had time to use the outdoor grill as well.
There is a coin-OP (or credit card via an app) laundry room downstairs and laundry detergent and dryer sheets were available for us to use in the unit, which was super helpful.
The unit was clean and comfortable. Note it is small—it suited our needs fine as a family of 3 (2 adults, 1 young child), but may be a bit of a squeeze for a larger family or adult-age children. The property itself is on the older side, but the furnishing and decor are in good condition and well-maintained.
The only con, which is out of the property manager's control, was the insanely loud construction down the street. Construction crews were out at 6am with jackhammers, and we were surprised the city didn't have an ordinance against that. The noise stopped around 9am, and while it woke my husband up daily, it didn't bother me or my son (we're deep sleepers). Still didn't detract from a great experience and we'll definitely be back. Highly recommend the property!

We stayed 3 nights here and absolutely loved it!
It was wonderful to be here with our adult son who lives in LA. Especially liked being steps away from the beach which we walked regularly with harbor seals swimming along side.

Hop skip and a jump from the beach!
Cozy place, perfect for me. The cleaning solution used did burn my eyes a bit every time I entered the apartment, though. Wouldn’t recommend if you are sensitive to chemicals. Comfy bed. Overall very good.

Great beach getaway
If you want an easy beach getaway with excellent access to the ocean and a comfortable place to stay, this is your spot. The apartment was very clean, very cozy, and fully equipped with supplies. There's a lovely view to the ocean from the living room. Great if you want to hang out in Carpinteria / Santa Barbara, or stay in and cook. Highly recommend for a no-fuss, comfortable coastal vacation.

Everything we wanted and for the right price! Literally across the street from the beach. “La Cabana” was the quintessential 50’s model style apartment complex with pool courtyard. The Murphy bed in the living room made us all whole and created a comfortable and affordable stay. Perfect for families, couples or solo. All you need is a big hat and a plastic martini glass! Perfect Apartment Across Street from Beach!
Everything we wanted and for the right price! Literally across the street from the beach. “La Cabana” was the quintessential 50’s model style apartment complex with pool courtyard.
