Thank you for hosting us.

Nearly everything was great about this place - the views, the coffee, comfortable and clean beds, safety lockers. The owner is very friendly and polite and I would love to go back there again.

My only humble request is to regulate the hot water a little more by a couple of degrees higher. Therefore, I would give the property a rating of 9.

Best location ever!

The location is exceptional, right in front of the beach!! The place is super clean all the time and the hosts are amazing! They indicated us how to get there taking the Smart Bus (btw the bus stop is right in the front). Big rooms with a nice big locker to keep your baggage inside, I loved that! In the kitchen you have a fridge, water dispenser, fruits and candies! 😍 10 out of 10!

Excellent property at not-so-recommendable location

The location is EXCELLENT with its conditions. I mean if you're a slow traveller, this place is for you because it's on Karon beach, right at the Karon circle and offers you that option of doing tourism your way. The property is good, offers beach view as mentioned, has beautiful karon beach right across the road, and is cleaned everyday. The white bedsheets are actually white, and the beds are strong enough to not make noise or shift when someone climbs up or down the bunk. They also have refillable refined water and a fridge to keep your things. The staff sent me location information, public bus information, how the hostel looks like etc ahead of time via Booking.com, so it was a smooth travel.

Warning: the criticism is of the location, not the property! The location is too dull for a tourist place. There are EXTREMELY limited things to do in comparison to the Patong beach. So I would not recommend staying anywhere in Karon if you're visiting for fun. And again, this is a criticism of location, not the property. The public transport in Phuket is a wordplay on the location itself - phuked. There are ZERO buses that run regularly in the city or that are affordable. Only he smart bus is there which goes to and from airport - so in case you want to explore the city, your best bet is to book tours, cz my friend if you try toe explore the city on grab - you'll be paying more than 2000B in transportation. Fortunately the packages are readily available of all kinds (mixed, private, type of vehicle and all), and at pretty decent range. E.g. i did Maya bay+phi phi+ khai island in 1300B (which included lunch and pickup/dropoff). The property is the best on you can find for the prices and location. Just that I couldn't meet the staff - cz there was none. In 3 days I stayed there, no one was there at the reception. Not that I had an issue (cz they did give their whatsapp contact everywhere for issues), but no one at the reception looked awry at times.

One night stay

Excellent location. Just in front of Karon Beach, Karon Circle and the bus stop. Nearby 7-Eleven, restaurants and massage. AC working properly. Free banana. Shared kitchen. Clean bathrooms. Ample charging outlets on the bed. Good wifi. Locker with lock provided.

Not really a con but take note that you have to go up flights of stairs to get to the entrance so if you have a luggage, it's not advisable.

comfortable, but not social hostel

the location was really good and the owner super nice. I could contact her anytime and she was really helpful. everything was clean & comfortable.

it’s not a social place and the common area is really small. it’s perfect to relax though :)

very nice hostel, loved the curtains around the bed so you can have some privacy. liked that the hostel was small.

first night i stayed in a bed just below the AC, but i changed the next day. the receptionist suggested, they were so friendly!

Location!!! 50 meters from beautiful beach, Lots of food doesn't matter where you go. I spent 3 nights there Comfy bed, clean, great communication/extremely helpful owner, AC working silently, nice guests in the room. 10 of 10😁

The owner is very friendly and the hostel is extremely clean.

Great stay

It‘s a quiet place, directly at the beach. It has a fridge, some dishes and sink to use as well us water to refill your bottle.

Room 1 doesn‘t have a window.

Great place close to the beach

Nice staff, super close to the beach and great price. It was a good vibe and clean.

Note that the staircase up to the hostel might not suit everyone. Especially not if the suitcase is heavy. People with disability or advanced age might struggle.

I’d go back in a heartbeat

Location is phenomenal. And very very clean. The sheets smelled of freshly done, crisp laundry. Also, the hostel culture has been very healthy, passed on to all newcomers by the older residents.

The space for common area can be made more comfortable with better chairs. It’s not very lounge friendly right now, but quite comfortable for those working from home

Would stay again, recommend!

Great location, literally across the road from the beach and surrounded by places to eat, shop, book tours etc. The host was very welcoming and helpful, Only 8 bed hostel (split between two rooms) so had a nice small feel to it. The rooms themselves were large and spacious, clean, had privacy curtains around the beds and big lockers to store bags. Good aircon. Showers clean and water hot.

I had an amazing stay and would recommend Fishtail Hostel to anyone thinking of staying in Karon, I would love to go bac

The host was so lovely & helpful with any questions I had about transport or where to go during the day. The facilities were always kept very clean, you get a big locker to store all your luggage and the beds are very comfortable. The location is perfect, literally 20 seconds from the beach which is ideal! There is so much to do close by so it is perfect.

Cheap and great hostel im Karon

Great hostel, really central to the town and near to the beach. Clean bathrooms and comfortable beds. Big lockers. Great value for money.

The communal area was very small. No outside area to chill.

Great hostel! Worth every penny spent. This is a great hostel to stay stay at.

The view is great, across the street from the beach with beach chairs & umbrellas available for purchase ($200baht). There’s a vegan restaurant, 7 Eleven, ATM, and bus station (that takes you to other beaches & the airport ($100 baht) within a 3 minute walking distance. The hostel was clean, each bed comes with a towel, comfy pillows and cover, locked cabinet to store important items, bedlight, and a curtain that shields the entire bed.

Unfortunately, there’s 2-3 flights of stairs that you must walk up to. If you have heavy luggages, be prepared. The host was kind enough to assist.

Amazing!!!

Well located! The stuff are incredible, lovely and kind! I highly recommend. There are so many restaurants and shops to buy souvenirs also in front of the beach with a nice sunset. Perfect If you are travelling alone

they really should hire a receptionist ..

the location is beachfront , Karon beach one of the best in Thailand

Somehow my flight got delayed , and my friend was contacting the hostel for me to let them know , but they were like if he gets any later we will charge him a fine 😂😂😂 beside it’s almost impossible to find staff there I had to call them more than 10 times to contact them , beside the fine they were telling me about was just hilarious
