The family were welcoming and the view was great. The value was good and it was not in the tourist area so you get a proper sense of local life. Close to the port too.
No air con, just a fan in the cheaper rooms. It can get very hot in there in June.

The family were great, and the place was clean and near to the port (great for early morning ferries). A great place to stay if you want something a bit more real than the large hotels.

It is really close to the port so if you’re going there you can easily walk to get your boat. The family is nice and the room was clean.
It was very noisy with roosters crowing all throughout the night. The room is fairly stuffy (we stayed in the budget room, which just had a fan - but there wasn’t any air ventilation, so it was actually cooler outside. The bedsheets were silk and kept slipping off the bed, so it wasn’t the comfiest sleep, but it was also not too expensive. So you just have to know what you’re getting.
