Peaceful and pleasant stay, very close to the beach but not exactly sea view.

The location was close to the beach yet cut off from the crowd and commotion. The room was well maintained and clean. The staff were very warm, welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was homely and tasty. To summarise, it was a peaceful and pleasant stay at Tamarind Villa.

The listing needs correction as there is no sea view room, only garden or pool view. This has been highlighted to the staff who acknowledged the mistake. However, the listing has not been corrected yet which can be misleading for anyone who books in future. Also, the breakfast was provided very late and could have been a bit earlier or at least on time. Lastly, the pool lounge area requires better maintenance.

Save your money and sanity—stay far away from this dump!

Absolutely nothing to like here.

This hotel was an absolute disaster! The lack of attention to cleanliness was evident throughout the premises, falling below basic standards. Additionally, despite reserving a 'sea-facing' room, the view provided was disappointing, overlooking palm trees and nothing else (I mean, we were in Kerala, this is the view you get anywhere you look around). The bed sheets were filthy and made the whole room feel unclean. Bugs kept finding their way in, and the blankets had this weird, unpleasant smell that made it hard to relax. All in all, staying here left a tangible sense of filth on you. The staff seemed to have zero qualifications, clueless about even the simplest tasks. I'm usually quite understanding when it comes to a few things not being upto the mark, yet I am compelled to write this review.

Great place away from the crowded Varkala cliff

Perfect place in Varkala. A bit away from the cliff but quiet and cozy. Nice beach is in 5-7 minutes by walk. We definitely liked it better then the cliff beach. Staff is friendly, homemade food is great (breakfast and lunch are possible). Pool was a great option for a child as well!

Liked the friendly and supportive staff .. liked the nearby beach .. and pool within property .. breakfast was good

Didn’t have a restaurant.. as mentioned in booking.com, had to order food from Swiggy .. if it was not available me and my family would have suffered .. so didn’t really like the experience.. better state restaurant not available while booking pls don’t confuse clients

Don't go of its raining.

Nothing, no light, no AC, no drinking water, no water in bathroom. Didn't even offered to compensate. Owner lives in cochi. Just a caretaker.

The room was spacious and clean with an excellent bathroom. lovely terrace and a small pool . Friendly owner and staff . Excellent breakfast to start the day . Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

nice garden and swimming pool. private property and bit secluded. a very nice place to hangout with friends and family. kids and pet friendly place.

we had booked the room with balcony and sea view but stayed in a garden view room. not sure if the sea is visible from here.

This is a great place to stay, and I can't recommend it highly enough. Spotlessly clean, in a very quiet and peaceful location. We would like to mention that every detail and every corner of the interiors and exteriors are built with love and perfect taste.

The place was pretty peaceful and not at all crowded. The pool was small but fun

The in house cook made good breakfast and they were served on time and was hot and fresh.

The location if you are at Varkala for the cliff then this kindda is at completely different place. Neverthless this Odayam beach is about half a km and its beautiful too. Just that there wasnt any beach due to the bad weather when we got there

Nothing much to say.

Rooms and swimming pool are not at all clean. Strictly do not take any food at this resort, it will be a nightmare. Frequent powercut and AC won't work in any of the rooms..
