About this chalet rental
Located in Coolbaugh Township, this charming chalet for $394 per night is a great choice for your next break. John & Ada would like to invite you, your family & friends to our newest vacation rental property in the Poconos. Ada’s Chalet on the Lake. This property overlooks Dresser Lake, where you, and your family can enjoy your time off to unwind and away from the Hustle and Bustle of your everyday life. Our lovely vacation rental can comfortably accommodate 12 people. The chalet has 3 floors, 3 full baths. The top floor has 2 Bedrooms, (2 Queen Beds), and a loft with a high-rise pull out bed - It also doubles as a Meditation Room. The first floor has 1 Bedroom, (2 Full full size Bunk Beds) Kitchen, with granite counter top, Microwave, Coffee maker, Toaster Oven, Dishes, Pots & Pans. Beautiful living with a fireplace and a 65 in Smart TV, a dinning room, and a lovely Florida room. Downstairs we have a full bath, 55 inch Smart TV, X-box, Wii, 3 in 1 pool/hockey/ping-pong table, & dart board. Electric fireplace, and big L-shape sofa. In the adjacent room we have exercise thread mill & Jacuzzi, A lovely Deck overlooking the lake, a BBQ, and Bar. The smaller deck outside the Master Bedroom also overlooks the lake. The Florida Room has a lovely 3-piece outdoor furniture set along with a hammock. The back yard has white stones throughout, a fire pit, another Hammock overlooking the lake. We have Row Boat, Kayaks outdoor furniture etc. We are looking forward to seeing you again, and hope that we can make your next vacation more memorable than before. The house was great in many ways but what I loved was the ability to disconnect and just enjoy our family. House is very comfortable and access to the lake is great. Host and property manager couldn’t have been more accommodating and available. Highly recommend if you are looking to get away and relax.

The house was perfect, the lake is smaller than I thought but Ada and John have the best beach on the lake, which was important to me. Easy lake access.
Ada and John couldn't have been more accommodating.
The property manager found a pair of my sons sunglasses and contacted me for my address so he could mail them back, nice service.
This is a great place for a relaxing vacation.

The lakehouse was very peaceful with direct water access for kayaks and row boat. The fire table, view from deck, and hot tub in lower level were fantastic! Fishing was a fun activity from the kayaks and row boat. Very relaxing stay.

We had a great time at the chalet. It had everything you could want. We really enjoyed the whole experience from relaxing by the lake to feeding the deer. The views of the lake were spectacular! We would definitely recommend it for others to stay here. Thank you for a wonderful vacation at your chalet.

Overall great experience. The home was very accommodating. Everything we needed was there. I would make the "check-in tour" optional. Spending x amount of money, people should know what there paying for (we did). Overall it was an amazing home. Everyone had alot of fun. Plenty to do at this home. Would stay again and recommend. My girlfriend and I stayed at the property June 25th through June 29th and it was amazing. The scenery of the lake is beautiful and there is so much wild life to enjoy! The home has everything you need and the hot tub was great at night to relax.

And there was so much to do at the house (ping pong, kayaking, cornhole, hot tub, etc) noone was ever bored. Oh and the wildlife. The best was when the deer would come up and eat out of our hands. I can't forget to mention John and Ada themselves though. They were extremely accomodating when we underestimated traffic and arrived earlier than expected. John even came over to walk us through the house and tell us all about the area. They were absolutely wonderful!! I would choose this house over others simply because of them. Such a wonderful vacation filled with memories our family will not soon forget.

If we could have stayed longer we would have. Every item, enjoyment and entertainment that could be provided was provided in one way or another whether it be the kayaks, firepit, game room etc., something for everyone to enjoy. The lake is so peaceful.

This was a great place for me and my family and our pet to just relax and disconnect for the weekend. Property is right on the lake and the view is stunning from the master bedroom. The bed in the master room needs adjustment as it tells off the frame and condiments in the kitchen needs upgrade as some of the items are close to their expiration. But other than that it was very quite and comfortable place if you are looking to just unwind and relax.

We had an amazing stay at The Chalet! The morning lake view was beautiful and hand feeding the deer was a first! Everything was clean and tidy. All rooms were equipped with all your needs plus some. And the kids especially enjoyed the all the games! From books and checkers to guitar hero and karaoke they had it all! plus water toys! So close to Montage! Great spot for our family weekend!

John & Ada’s chalet is wonderful and was perfect for a family of 5, 2 friends and our pets. It was impeccably clean, stocked with anything you could possibly need and then some. There were plenty of activities and games to keep everyone entertained. The Womancave is a haven for kids, teens and adults, not to mention the hot tub.
The friendly deer in the area come right up to you and eat out out of your hand. The pond was frozen over and still a pretty view. And we were even treated to a fireworks show on New Year’s Eve.
John was so very attentive and thorough with his walkthrough. Very warm and friendly people. We are looking into visiting again in the warm months next time. You will love your stay here at Ada’s chalet.

John and Ada were very friendly and attentive hosts. We asked them ahead of our arrival if there were baking sheets in the house and I’m pretty sure they must have gone out and bought them for us, as 4 new sheets were waiting for us when we arrived. They live right across the street so could be over in a moment to help us out and they made sure we were familiar with everything inside and out when we arrived. Our son got a flat tire during our final night and John gave an excellent reference for a nearby tire shop; we had the car back on the road the next day.

I stayed here for a week and it was an absolutely great stay. Jon was extremely friendly and accommodating as he answered all my calls and texts promptly, (lives across the street, which was nice in case we needed anything or had any issues), met my girlfriend and I, upon arrival for a short tour before he departed for our stay.
As for the property it is amazing and as advertised. The pictures are accurate and then some. The view you wake up to is hard to beat if you are looking for a Lakeside getaway. Jon had kayaks, full fledged fishing boat, paddle boats ready for use. My girlfriend and I took the paddleboat out on multiple occasions even in 40 degrees and had a great time. A small beach in the backyard with 2 bonfires one manual and one propane along with a grill make it a more than outdoor getaway to your needs. Not to mention 2 hammocks indoor and outdoor we enjoyed. It’s everything you can ask for if you are looking for a lakeside getaway and to enjoy the nature and landscape in and around this location. Thank you Jon and Ada

Just spent a long weekend at John and Ada's Chalet. Let me say you won't be disappointed. The Chalet sits on a Beutiful lake, views are wonderful. The house is very clean and cozy, they have everything you need inside and out. luckily we had GREAT weather, but don't worry if weather not good there is more entertainment here than you could think of for all ages thats for sure!! Third year of renting this house. Great location - on a lake, with nearby attractions (golf, casino, horseback riding, ATV rides). House has a pool table / table tennis / games / row boat / kayaks (plenty to do). Nice house for a family vacation. Another positive - owner lives right across the street. If you have any issues or questions, John and Ada respond quickly.

Beautiful property with a beautiful view. If the deck gets refinished I would give a 5 star review. Outside area looks like sand but is small rocks, which I like but meant shoes must always be warn unless inside the chalet. Shallow lake which is great for floating but not swimming. Luckily Tobyhanna state park is less then 10 minutes away. Everything was very clean except for the spiders who never stopped working, on their webs. All in all we enjoyed our stay but I was constantly concerned with splinters from the deck and the bars being too far apart, where a child could easily slip through. We saw more wildlife then we ever have before including a family of raccoons, which were adorable. I would highly recommend this property for adults with no young children.

We had such a wonderful time at Ada and John’s home. There was plenty to do for everyone and we didn’t need to leave the property. The deer were so friendly even the adults got a kick out of them. We all had plenty of room and beds were comfortable. Lots of water toys to entertain everyone and we even got lucky fishing. Thank you so much!

The house was very clean and suited our needs well. There are many different rooms to sit and relax or play in. Sleeping and eating were tight for 12 people (including kids), but we loved the outdoor space and waterfront, however the lake is smaller than hoped.
The random deer that come around and eat from your hands was an awesome experience!!!

The property was amazing. The house was spotless, everything we needed was provided. The location on the water was perfect and there 3 kayaks and a row boat plus a giant float to use. We could not ask for more. At night, we sat by the fire pit and roasted marshmellows and really enjoyed the piece and quiet. We were very pleased with everything there.
