We had a great family vacation. The small lake was full of wildlife and it was a quiet neighborhood. The house was just the right size for the 5 of us and very clean. Our only complaint would be while the couches are cute they are not comfortable. Other than that, I would highly recommend it.

We had a lovely five day stay at Michael’s house. It has nice updates and there was plenty of room for our party of seven. A very welcoming space and felt very homey with a really nice aesthetic. The master has two comfortable king beds plus a little seating area that worked perfectly for the teens to huddle up and play video games at night. The other two bedrooms were comfortable size also, not quite as roomy. The showers all had rain shower heads so it was relaxing after a long day in the sun. The kitchen was also nice with a great island to gather around and plenty of seating in the dining room and lanai. We did a lot of cooking so the limited pans and bowls/serving dishes was a little disappointing but there were plenty of glasses and plates to eat on. I would suggest if you plan on cooking to bring along pans for the oven and spices. A couple of little quirky things, there is no door on the bathroom in the master and a see through door in on the other on-suite so privacy is limited. Also the thermostat was constantly adjusting and the house did not get very cool. There are no fans so we just went and purchased one to help regulate the air flow and to help cool down the rooms with no vents. The teens throughly enjoyed themselves fishing off the dock. They spent hours out there and there are plenty of fish eager to take the bait. The homeowner was very accommodating and answered questions quickly.

This house was perfect for our family of four adults (parents and two adult offspring). Each bedroom had its own bathroom, two ensuite and one just across the hall. The rooms were spacious, especially the master bedroom. The beds were comfortable, too, with plenty of pillows. The backyard was beautiful, with a calm lake setting. Overall, the location was convenient, though there are two caveats: it's an older neighborhood with a mix of mostly older and a few newer homes, and the street is narrow so neighbors park on the street, including on the edge of the VRBO property and directly behind the driveway (making backing out a bit difficult). Second, there are railroad tracks very nearby. That didn't bother us in the master bedroom, but family members in the other bedrooms said they were awakened by train horns. Both were more minor inconveniences than major problems. The best things about the property were the sparkling cleanliness; the convenient, fully-equipped modern kitchen with icemaking refrigerator, island seating, and open floorplan; the lovely lakefront backyard; the pet friendliness (yay! Our sweet Cavalier enjoyed flopping down on the cool tile, and loved chasing lizards); the comfort of each bedroom having a TV, even if we never did figure out how to make the cable in the living room work; security cameras for safety; the lack of hidden fees (some VRBO owners add ridiculous charges like "additional guest" fees even when the number of bedrooms exceeds the number of guests); and the convenience of check-out (there were no elaborate requirements to strip the beds or perform other tasks that are typically included in cleaning fees). The location was convenient to Lutz, Carollwood, and north Tampa.
