Thoroughly enjoyed our weeklong stay at Garden Gate Cottage A. The cottage itself has all the comforts of home. It is cozy, and at the same time is very spacious. The kitchen is quite large, so if you wish to cook a few meals for yourself, there is plenty of room to work. The neighborhood is quiet and safe, and we enjoyed our daily strolls through the cul de sac. The proximity to key attractions is excellent. Downtown Franklin is within a 10-minute walk to the right, while The Factory—with Mojo’s Tacos and Jenis’s Ice Cream—is the same distance to the left. Large grocery chains like Publix and Whole Foods are within a 10-minute drive. And if you go to Whole Foods in the morning, treat yourself to breakfast at the nearby First Watch. Matt was great to work with, always providing a timely response to questions during the reservation process and upon arrival. When my travels take me to Franklin again, I will definitely return to this cottage.

Beautifully Decorated, Close to lovely downtown Franklin, Quiet Neighborhood

This was our third visit to Franklin - we stayed five days in this charming home. The location was perfect! I was delighted by the overall design and attention to detail. Particularly impressed with the little study area. Matt provided all information we needed upon arrival and everything went smoothly. The neighborhood was quiet and we could walk to downtown area. Would love to live in Franklin. Thank you for a wonderful visit.

Loved the quaint cottage! We did request that the porch light be fixed, but it never worked while we were there. More towel bars in all bathrooms as well as a toilet paper dispenser in the small bathroom would have been appreciated.

What a charming, impeccably clean cottage! My friend & I had private rooms & baths with lots of “catching up” space in the pretty sitting room & kitchen. We are seniors in our 70’s so needed the walk-in shower rather than the tub/shower. Driveway parking easily accommodates two cars. Historic downtown is a short drive away with lots of cute shops & eateries. Such friendly, helpful people! THANK YOU host Matt for such a special reunion!

My husband and I rented this cottage during a recent stay in Franklin and it was impeccable — from the location to the home itself to the amazing communication from the owner. We also truly enjoyed the quick walk from the cottage to Main Street, where all the restaurants and shops are. We will be back!

2 couples went for a weekend getaway. Property was just as described. Very clean and nice. You will have to bring your own seasonings, staples , coffee and cream. Home has no pantry items. We only made breakfast so wasn’t a problem for us. Is about a 45 minute drive to The Grand Ole Opry and General Jackson River Cruise which we would highly suggest. Broadway in Nashville was also about 45 minutes . All fun things to do but will need to allow for travel. Overall had a great weekend at Matt’s cottage and would recommend. Thanks Matt for your quick responses and allowing us to stay.

The location was great-convenient to downtain restaurants, shopping and activities . The house, lawn and patio were immaculate. One of the most enjoyable, relaxing mini vacations ever. Sincerely hope this property is available for our next visit . Truly a pleasure

We loved our stay here. The cottage was adorable and in pristine condition. The furnishings were beautiful and we had everything we needed for a wonderful weekend. It is located in a charming neighborhood, within walking distance of downtown Franklin. Matt was wonderful to work with and responded quickly to our questions. We had a great time and will definitely be back!

It was very close (walking distance) to downtown Franklin. Nice areas for walks / running. A 20 (40 in late afternoon - traffic) minute drive to downtown Nashville. The house was fully furnished. If you plan on cooking or have morning coffee, make sure you stop at the store to pick up your coffee, creamer, and seasoning for food. The beds were a bit firm ( some may like and some may not). 3 PM check-in and 09:30 - 10:00 AM check-out.

We will definitely stay here again when we are back in the area. Home has everything you could need and is very clean and welcoming! Host was very accommodating.

I love clean, beautifully designed spaces that function and stand up to the rigors of a fast paced weekend. This spot was perfect. We walked to the Factory for tacos in the evening and morning coffee. Then strolled downtown for breakfast and shopping. The back porch provided a peaceful spot for reading and happy hour. Matt has amply provided for guests- a five star experience and then some. The interior is a gorgeous neutral palette-a perfect backdrop for sun-filled rooms.

This property was awesome - so glad we chose this place to stay! :) Downtown is just a 10 minute walk (if that), and the home (duplex) itself was well decorated and very clean! No frills (bring your own soap/shampoo/etc), but otherwise we have zero complaints, and would happily stay here again~

We really enjoyed this lovely place. Matt has done a great job creating a warm and inviting home away from home. The place was spotless, beautifully decorated and the location was quiet with a close proximity to Main Street which allowed for a quick walk to downtown. We visit the Franklin area at least twice a year and would definitely stay here again. Thank you Matt for providing such a nice place to relax while we enjoyed another great visit to Franklin.

The cottage was super cute and the perfect size for our party of four adults. Great location between the Factory and Downtown Franklin. Communication was great. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay in Franklin and the home we stayed in was the icing on the cake. The home was very inviting and beautifully decorated. Fully stocked with all the necessities and supplies you could possibly need. Also, communication with the property manager (Matt) was wonderful! He was very informative and responsive. VRBO done RIGHT! Truly a highlight of our trip was this charming VRBO. We felt right at home. Every detail was done right to make sure we had everything we needed. Great communication with property manager. Definitely will be recommending it to family and friends.

We enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Christmas Travel was very difficult due to winter storms and airlines cancellations and delays. Car rentals were backed up as well. The people in town were friendly and polite.
