Walk a few blocks to the campus of Cal Poly Humboldt or head into Arcata where you'll find all of the conveniences including multiple restaurants, shops, massage therapists, cafes, bookshops, and much more. Many of the neighboring houses are charming Victorians and Craftsmans, so you'll have lots to look at on your walks. This rental is also just 25 miles south of Redwood National Park, 50 miles north of Humboldt Redwoods State Park, and just a handful of miles from the ocean. Warm, tastefully decorated, and furnished with antique furniture, this cottage is the ideal destination for a romantic getaway for two or a quiet writer's retreat. This studio also includes a furnished, open deck where you can relax and breathe in the fresh smells of the redwood forest. Sip your morning coffee there after a restful sleep in a bed featuring a memory foam topper before heading out on another daily adventure. THINGS TO KNOW This vacation rental is not equipped with air-conditioning. If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the nightly pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting "Yes" to pets. No more dogs are allowed. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation. If you like redwoods, this place is ideally located. A 50 yard walk to miles and miles of trails (hking and biking) in the Arcata Community Forest. Small place, about the size of a small hotel room. I was there for a couple days visitng my son at Cal Poly and it was just what I needed.

Cute little studio just right for a couple in love. Small and cozy. Great hosts ready to help and full of info on local events and destinations. Forgot to use the bbq, but it was clean and ready.

It is a sweet place and pretty quiet on beautiful landscaped property. I was disappointed in the deck with no view but furniture is comfy and can see lovely flowers and birds. Bed is very comfy but it is a double and I think we need a queen. Hosts are lovely and its close to everything. Will recommend to our kids when they come up.

Very nice, but if you're tall you will need to duck! Ceilings in the kitchen and bathroom are very low. Very close to a busy road but the noise wasn't too bad. Great choice for ONE person and a pet.

This is a good minimal home-base for visiting Arcata. Smooth check-in, clean, everything as expected. Worth noting that winter storms can be a bit noisy in this room, as it's a mother-in-law type unit. Shower pressure / hot water excellent!

This studio had a great location. It was quiet and clean. The bed was pretty comfortable. Excellent indoor shower stall. Overall we found the unit to be small. It had somewhat of a kitchen that might be serviceable for a light breakfast, but I would not want to prepare a meal there. In my opinion it might be best suited for a single traveler.

So cute, walk right into redwoods everyday.. walk into town as well if you want a work out! Perfect spot for my gf and I to enjoy the town.. wish we could move in ! Met the cleaner before I left tok and she was very nice. Great communication from vacasa

The property was perfect for a place for two located close to town. The trails right across the street in the community forest were beautiful for my morning walks and everything we needed was right in the area.

I enjoyed the location for the Arcada Park was across the street. A fun experience walking through the forest! Weather permitting nice patio for relaxing or bbq. Was small but suited my little dog & I! Was equipped with everything you would need. Very enjoyable!

My wife and I stayed at this property Oct1-6, 2021 for our 35th Anniversary. We wanted to stay away from crowds and this was the perfect place. The studio is small but comfortable. It’s close to everything, specially the beautiful Redwood Park, just across the street. We really enjoyed walking in this park. The property owners, Sarah and Steve were great. Thank you for your hospitality and the wine. I recommend this property

We loved our stay; the studio was its own separate building so we had privacy but also room on the patio to relax. Cute, comfortable, place that had everything we needed for a nice visit.
