Located in Prince Edward County, this lovely house for $311 per night is a great option for your next trip. Sunset Shanty is a fantastic new cottage located on a beautiful, large lot overlooking the Southwest River. This one-level vacation home is open, spacious, and offers endless, breathtaking sunsets. The floor-to-ceiling west-facing windows in the living room offer stunning views of the river. The adjoining dining area has seating for 6 and is also situated to provide guests with a lovely water view. The kitchen is custom-made, spacious and fully equipped. The kitchen island offers additional prep space as well as extra seating. Patio doors lead from the dining/kitchen areas to the expansive wrap-around deck offering an abundance of natural light and easy access to the BBQ, and deck furniture. Also facing westerly are the water-view master bedroom and 1 of the 3 additional bedrooms. The master bedroom, with a king bed, has a full ensuite (walk-in shower, sink and toilet). It also has patio doors leading directly onto the expansive wrap-around deck. The second bedroom on the west side has a queen bed and view of the water. The east side of the cottage provides 2 additional bedrooms and a second full bathroom (tub/shower, sink and toilet). One bedroom has a full bed, and the other has a queen bed. The wrap-around deck is perfect for outdoor living. The covered pergola, patio table & chairs, deck chairs and BBQ create a welcoming exterior space. Sunset Shanty is nicely decorated to give its guests that coastal feeling. This beautiful cottage is complete with internet, satellite, BBQ, full size washer and dryer, towels, linens, beach towels, and board games. Just a short drive from Sunset Shanty are golf courses, fabulous restaurants, fresh seafood, live entertainment, ceilidhs, shopping, antiquing, water park, amusement park and so much more! The house is located on a beautiful spot overlooking the river. It is quiet and gorgeous. The deck is spacious and a great spot for both meals and relaxing. We were there only four days so didn’t cook but there is a large grill outside.

This property is located very central on PEI, great starting point for each days adventure. Although the instructions to get to this property lead us to the wrong house, they need better directions and maybe a sign or two directing you to their property. Once there, it was great for 6 adults. Really enjoyed our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It has all the amenities, and the beds were comfortable for good nights sleep. The space is bright and peaceful and a perfect size for our family. Great location between Kensington and Stanley Bridge. Loved the wrap around deck, was a perfect spot for morning coffee and after dinner watching that gorgeous PEI sunset.

There was a miscommunication on our part on the first day. Sister-in-law went to wrong house and freaked out because of our mistake. Please accept our sincerest apologies. Also, mixup with they house key was our screw up. Again, please accept our apologies. We enjoyed our week at the Simpson house. Alan and Donna Fitch

We were attending a family wedding in the area and this was the perfect location for us…6 adults and 2 teenagers. A few minor complaints, but overall a great experience.

We enjoyed our time at the house! We were initially given the wrong house number, which resulted in us almost breaking in to another house!! Yikes!! Once we were in , all was good other than a moldy shower curtain. Still enjoyed the stay!

A spotless property in a quiet location. Lovely views and sunsets over the water. We went in late September and wonder what it might have been in the heat of July/August without AC although there are lots of overhead fans. Loved the big spaces of the kitchen. Dining and living room areas with lots of windows.

Wonderful cottage with a beautiful wraparound deck with amazing views. Loads of sun, and lots of room, well cleaned, modern, and well maintained. 4 great sized bedrooms along with a huge living area / kitchen space made it easy for our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teenagers) to kick back and relax. Location is surprisingly convenient, and made for a great home base as we explored PEI. All the amenities we could ask for and more were available with easy access and departure details. Though not directly on the water, the view is absolutely fantastic!

Loved the deck! The bedrooms on the west facing(?) side were extremely hot at night. I'm thinking that with global warming, it will be a good investment to install some form of air-conditioning, e.g., mini-splits..

Me and some friends needed a spot out of town for a relaxing weekend. Cottage was well kept and had everything you needed. Communication was simple and easy check in/check out. Made for a memorable weekend and would recommend for any get together you’re looking for!

Had a great vacation in this 4 bedroom house. Great layout to the place with a wrap around deck overlooking the river where the sun sets, with a fire pit and bbq for your convenience. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.
