As you approach the property, all your senses will be enveloped since the home is positioned on a natural, wooded point with 600+ feet of shoreline and 220° waterfront views. Watch majestic cranes soar just above the tranquil waterline; hear a flock of Canada Geese honk as they cross the lake in unison formation; feel the juxtaposition of the sun providing warmth while the lake water cools you off; take in the smell of the wood and floral elements in the air. In fact, you may encounter a red fox or deer scampering through the yard or even hear cows mooing in the distance. We even have a couple of cranes who have made Knot Loggin' Inn their home. We've fondly named them Frazier and Niles Crane. ;-) While outside, you have ample number of areas to enjoy and explore without leaving the property: + Allow the kids to run and play in "Fort Knots", a large, shaded playground + Enjoy a game of volleyball, football or any other yard activity in the expansive front yard that is tree lined, yet has views of the lake on a sunny day. + Relax on the covered front porch with a cup of coffee or enjoy lake breezes from the bench swing in the front yard. + Unwind on the back deck with a cold beverage and take in lake views from numerous vantage points, including the adjoining side deck that accommodates a large group for meals and cookouts under a convenient power retractable awning. + Take a break on the waterside stone patio as you watch lake activities and wildlife pass by from your vantage point perched upon a small hill overlooking the lake. + Gently wade into the water from the private white sandy beach or remain on land and watch others take part in water activities from the stone patio overlooking the beach. + Jump into the lake with a splash, bathe under the sun's rays on a lounge chair, or eat a meal at the table from the large multilevel water deck. + Try fishing from any point along the shoreline or numerous dock vantage points. + Hike around the property on one of its many paved pathways, grassy knolls, or wooded areas. + Park and access your own boat and personal watercraft at the private boat house and dock. Boat traffic is minimal compared to the central part of the lake so water sports are much safer in this area. — The Log Cabin Lake Home — Upon entering the cabin, any stress will immediately subside as you take in a deep breath and inhale the smells of the natural wood logs which line the walls. The two story foyer and vaulted great room immediately draw you in to the wall of windows with a southern exposure view of the glimmering lake below. The great room is central to the home and provides numerous sitting options that offer panoramic views of the water. Sit on a large sofa to relax, converse or watch shows on a 65" television that displays landscapes when not in use. Connect your favorite music source from you phone via WiFi and broadcast music inside and outside the home. Play games or have a drink at a cozy four person table in front of a wall of windows overlooking the lake or curl up on a chaise lounge to take a nap, read a book, or daydream with a lakeside view. Enjoy meal preparation in the gourmet kitchen that is open to the great room so you can interact with friends and family. The kitchen is stocked with every utensil and cookware you will likely need. Cook delicious meals on the four burner gas stove with center griddle or take a few steps outside the kitchen onto the deck to use the outdoor gas grill. Stock the large pantry and refrigerator with your favorite meal ingredients. The beautiful granite center island is large enough to accommodate several hands during meal preparation and also houses a built-in sink, trash compactor and dishwasher. A second kitchen island flanks the great room. Its raised bar counter can be used to seat 5 people for meals and includes a professional standalone ice maker, wine refrigerator, and wet sink. Your little ones can help with meal preparation, too, or eat their own meals at the kid-sized table adjacent to the center island. The dining room is open to both the kitchen and great room and has an expansive, rustic dining table, accommodating up to 8 people. The spacious cabin has 5 bedroom retreats, 4 well-appointed full baths, and 2 convenient half baths: + Bedroom 1: A Primary Suite on the main level that provides 2 separate views of the lake and its own private balcony. This area has two large glass sliders that exit onto an expansive backyard patio and offers unobstructed views of the lake. Fabulous house in a fabulous location on Lake Anna, with great hosts; couldn’t ask for more. We rent houses fairly often and this may be our favorite property. We had a couple of days nice enough to have coffee on the swim pod and come back for cocktails at sunset followed by the arrival of the geese. We will have lovely memories from this trip. Mike and Kevin were great hosts and the property had all the comforts you needed. Will absolutely be on the list for a return visit.

I have always dreamed of getting my three kids, with their spouses and 8 grandchildren together in one place for the holidays. Mike and Kevin helped that dream come true. With a beautiful view, spacious grounds and a cabin feeling, touched by holidays decorations, it all came together. Holiday music throughout the home gave it that finishing touch. The kitchen was perfect for cooking for 16 people. Children were entertained by a playground and plenty of games. What a wonderful experience. And if you need anything, Mike is right on the phone to help out. Thanks again guys, great job!!! We all appreciate it. Merry Christmas!

We have stayed at many rental houses over the years, and this one ranks at the top. The house itself is beautifully done - so many thoughtful details and very comfortable. The property is incredible - basically on a peninsula with gorgeous views, several different spots to enjoy (bonfire, beach, dock, boat dock, playground), and plenty of parking. We truly couldn't find one thing they missed. We loved the shuffleboard, pool table, wii, and the theatre room with fireplace was the best! It held our big group well and gave us plenty to do together!

The home was gorgeous, very high-end decor, appliances etc. Beds were VERY comfortable, pillows linens etc very comfortable and CLEAN! The whole house was amazing and the outside was just as beautiful with the walkways, childs playset, boat dock, seating dock etc. The owners were very responsive and very easy to communicate with on any issues (although we had none while there) the only thing I would make future tenants aware of was the Copperhead snake that was in the water and very close to the children while they were swimming off the beach area. After reading the guest log I saw last year they noted there was one living somewhere on the beach area and although we were there a year later there are Copperheads in the area, just be aware and you'll be fine. Overall a very fantastic place to stay I would give it 10 stars if possible!!!

They thought of everything to make sure we had a perfect time with our kids and grandkids!! From big things like a basement theater to a nice sandy beach with a sitting area, to the medium things like plenty of kayaks and paddle boards, to the small things like a stream that you turn on whenever you want to see and hear a pleasant flow of water babbling down the lake ! We rent a lake house every year and generally the houses are nice but there’s always something that’s not quite up to par— the beach, the kitchen, the showers, etc. This one, though, is a no-exudes home where everything is in great working order and we’ll-maintained and cleaned!! You will love it!!

We booked ‘knot loggin inn’ in January after researching many properties in Lake Anna for our first trip to this lake. This was the perfect house, location for our blended family of 13 (ages ranging from 10-70+). We had family traveling from Pennsylvania and NY. We had high expectations after reading so many positive reviews and it did not disappoint! The house was clean and well furnished. We rented a pontoon boat and had it on the lake daily. I loved that the lake did not feel overly crowded/busy. Communication with the owner(s) was was always prompt, helpful and accommodating. The nights were filled with competitive pool playing and corn hole, as well as, fishing off the dock! The fish especially loved when we used hot dogs as bait! We look forward to staying here again in the future!

The description and photos of this beautiful place hardly do it justice. We frequently stay at VRBOs, and this place was, by far, the most thoroughly hospitable. They not only provide the basics for your stay, but also provide additional commodities that make your stay a stress-free delightful breeze. In the listing, all of the fun items like the kayaks, etc. are itemized, but when you get here and see how nice all of that equipment is kept, and how well the actual grounds are cared for, you realize that you've stepped into luxury. Just to point out a few things that, in our opinion, made this place and its host both 5 star +, we very much appreciated: all of the complimentary water vessels & life jackets, the labeling in the house that made use so simple, the very thorough house book to also assist with ease of use, the two refrigerators that kept us from having to go shopping (once you get here, you don't want to have to leave), the higher end extremely sharp knives for cooking, the higher end kitchen electronics and utensils overall, all of the sitting areas outdoors to enjoy picnics and family time, pack & plays (multiple) if someone has very young ones, amazing internet throughout the property, and prompt communication from the owners. Honestly, we cannot rate this place high enough. If you're debating on which place to stay, don't- stay here, you won't regret it! For our multigenerational family group of 17, it was absolutely perfect. We will plan to return.
