The building itself is very beautiful with its brutalist nature. I checked the history and find it amazing to live in such a building. It is also very clean. The breakfast is great and the staff is very friendly.
I would prefer to have real person in check-in even at night. However, I must say that the check in instruction was very clear.

The staff at Silo are incredible! They are extremely accommodating and kind. The breakfast was great. The location is a tad bit out of the way in Basel, but with a short 10- to 15-minute bus, you're in the city center. Amenities were great. This was my first hostel experience and unfortunately it has set the bar pretty high for other hostels ;)
