we got upgraded as we had 3 in our party. The staff were polite and on hand if we needed anything. We love how the cafe is next door-fantastic food and service. This is our second time to stay and it was even better than the first. Showergel on hand to use-added bonus. It is so close to Mount Albert train station, shops and eateries.

We've been in Auckland 3 weeks. Hotel, motel hopping due to finances.
This was our last stay at the end of the 3 weeks.
And now will be our home every trip to mount albert
. It's close to shops and train
Our children live near so easy to get to there house.
The pool in summer will be nice for a swim.
The bond isn't taken from you as payment and returned in 5 days like some have said in reviews.
I read reviews and because of them, i thought I couldn't afford to loose $300 from them keeping money, while we stayed. So we didnt choose here 1st.
This isn't the case! They dont keep and hold your actual money!!!
That i didn't phone them and clarify some questions about deposit at the start of the 3 weeks. If I'd rang them at the start, and not interpreted the bond in my own way .. we wouldn't of stayed other places.

Loved that you had a black out solution to the Venetian blinds in room. For those of us who cant sleep with lights shining. The way you'd made the curtain with magnets was thoughtful. It was obvious people have highlighted this as a issue for them. And you've done your best to find something that works.
I loved the teapot in kitchen .
And that you gave a good sized milk! Not those annoying little packet casual milks.
Good little compact unit. Had all we needed to stay and sleep at night. We were busy via daytimes.
Cafe on-site was good when we had guests from airport for a day . Our room was to small to host 4 adults. So Cafe for lunch and coffee worked well for us to kill time, before dropping back to airport .
We walked around and got Thai for dinner, was beautiful.
We also walked to the spca op shop, around the corner, great store.
Went to a supperette for a drink and lollies.
Shops all very accessible.
Train station right there.
But not noisy in motel.
I added a extra night and they allowed for me to stay in same room which meant no packing up.
That the Cafe and the motel have shared parking. With no systems or allocations for Just Cafe or just motel. You can park where you like. If the motel was at capacity this would be really annoying.
We got blocked in by a Cafe patron who parked behind us.
I had to go to Cafe and find the owner and ask them to come and move so we could leave. Minor inconvenience. Was moved with no problems.
You need to learn to shower fast lol. Not my superpower! I ran out of hot water.
Each unit has own hot water system. It is advertised in bathroom as a notice that you need spacing between usage. But it doesn't state its a 5 min type of capacity. Ladies get your hair washed and legs shaved fast! Before you do it cold. Didn't make me not like room, my habits need to speed up.

Location.
Outdated. Not very good heating. Beds were hard. Having a timer on the shower wasn’t good. Sofa bed was marked. Not value for money.
Pretty cold. Coffee cups need to be bigger
