Exceptional

Walking distance to a lot of restaurants, mini golf and the pier. Very clean and quite!

Shower head should be replaced, no tv in the bedroom

The perfect writing retreat!

This location was the perfect writer's retreat get away. Many places to quietly write with my favorite being a lounge chair that I moved to look out the patio sliding glass door on the city lights up the hill. Everything I needed was in walking distance. A well stocked Vons is a block away and the house cinnamon drip coffee at Catalina Coffee Cookie company was a morning ritual. I came during the off season where it was rainy, cold, and windy, but that was perfect for a cozy week to finish my book project! I was apprehensive that this location was inside the city enough that I wouldn't be looking out to the ocean, but the city lights on the hill were enjoyable and the beach was only a couple blocks away when I wanted to take a walking break. The end conclusion is that I would enjoy coming back next year to repeat the experience.

This will be a hard section to complete. I had been planning this week for a while and was looking for the right hotel room. I couldn't find anything that I didn't conclude I would go stir crazy trapped inside. So I have this deep sense of gratitude that I opened up the search for house rentals. Everything was functional and the kitchen was well stocked with appliances. There was a nice view and everything I needed was in a short, pleasant walking distance. There really wasn't anything I didn't like.

Probably the best thing was the location.

The location was great. Close to shops , restaurants, and the wedding venue

It was stated this place was suitable for 4 persons- I don’t see how. There was a double bed and a pull out sofa. Both which were hard and sofa bed very uncomfortable. There was no kettle to boil water for my tea - had to use microwave! Some of the plates and mugs had chips in them. Blinds were dusty and some slats were broken.

Great value, if we come back to Avalon we will be staying here again.

The host was wonderful and super accommodating! The place was even better than the pictures. Great view from the deck and the kitchen has everything you need to cook a meal.

Fun

Was nice, loud and had to buy toilet paper. Location was good though.

No where to dump trash, just stacked up in the living room.

I would return to same location the staff was super helpful. immaculate...and very well equipped.

First of all, the Property Manager, Veronica is an asset to the property. She is very helpful, accommodating, and was willing to meet us at the property to leave our luggage while they were cleaning, before we could check in, which was very helpful, so we didn't have to roll our bags all over town. It's Very close to Vons, and walking distance to the main part of Avalon, and many many restaurants. Fully equipped with everything you need. And very nice to have a patio deck

A little busy and noisy on our street. Street can be very busy with golf carts. Use CAUTION my only complaint, The Property owner must put a long chain on the bedroom light on the Ceiling Fan in the bedroom, so one does not have to stand on the bed to pull the short chain to turn off light when NOT being used. Standing on the mattress is an accident waiting to happen and very dangerous.

Quaint Cottage

The location was really superb. Not that Catalina is so big that you could be in a bad location but we were not right next to the few bars and clubs so it was quiet, we were 50 yards to the grocery store where we frequented and we were right at the base of the nice canyon trail hike we did twice just up the street. The small balcony deck is perfect. The large slider opens from the living room and it’s the coziest little spot to sip margaritas while the sun sets as you prepare to go out for dinner. We loved the deck.

There’s no dishwasher or much room to wash then dry dishes. So we had to do a little bit at a time. The wifi was pretty slow, which could just be an island thing. But hey, this is me being very picky! We didn’t need great wifi because we didn’t spend much time in the place as were out adventuring.
