Breakfast was excellent. Very comfortable bed and considering we had a room overlooking the road it was not noisy.

The window rattled so we used a piece of cardboard to stop that. No parking so its quite a hike up to the car park. We did have a meal there and we did find the service was slow taking orders etc 20 mins for a drink order. Compated to other St Austells it was a little tired in decor.

We have booked here a few times now for short stays and always love it. It is perfectly located for a day on the beach or visiting the shops and restaurants and close to a couple of decent carparks. We were lucky enough to be there this time during very warm weather and while the property is a bit too old for fixed AC a portable unit had been put in the room which made a big difference. Staff were ver friendly and we always have had a really good breakfast there.
