Very personable host and friendly staff who truly made us feel welcomed. Beautiful common ground with pool along with interior spaces furnished very tastefully and decorated with wonderful art pieces. Generous breakfast, a bar open in the afternoon until early evening and all day access to a Nespresso machine in the salon. Walking distance to many sights and good restaurants and the property is secured very well.

The staff are amazing! The room was very clean. It was great having a refrigerator, microwave, toaster available as a mini kitchen close to our room. Everyone is very honest, no one touches someone else's stuff in frig etc. I requested the second floor but now know I would feel equally safe on the first floor. The pool was absolutely wonderful and open until 8 pm. It is heated year round and we went in every day we could. The town is small but very special in culture and tradition. So many fabulous restaurants. The Lake Chapala Society is close to the hotel to ask questions about moving to Mexico or about dual citizenship. The best migration attorney that I have found is a block away from the Lake Chapala Society named ABC Attorney. She is wonderful and gives answers you can trust and depend on unlike most attorneys that claim to know information. The Lake is huge and stretches a very long distance. The sunset over Lake Chapala is breathtaking and very romantic. The vendors on the malecon have coconuts, jewelry, leather, sunglasses and many more treasures. The malecon is concrete and a great walkway if you wish to walk along the water to see the cranes and other birds. The hotel has a wonderful breakfast included in the cost of your room which is so tasty. We rented a car and when we returned always had a parking spot right outside the hotel door at no additional cost. The hotel lists local tours which we enjoyed going on two great tours: the goat farm and the ancient historic reins from the Independence Mexican War. Both tours were outstanding and well worth it. Our last day we walked the area and visited the Guadalajara Cathedral. Our trip was magical!!!

The time went too fast!!! I didn't understand until the last day when I asked the owner and she explained to me. At the beginning of our trip I put the tip in the room envelop for the maid service but upon return to the room the room was very clean but the money remained in the envelop. The owner explained that nothing is taken from the room as everyone is extremely honest so turn in the tip to the office at the end of your trip and the staff will receive their tips.
