10 BECAUSE THERE'S NO 11

Josephine, the host, was a real volcano!! Basically, she made us feel at home. She granted access to her kitchen to prepare our breakfast, but she supplied a lot of things: at least 20 different kinds of cereal, coffee, tea, milk, orange juice, two or three different marmelades. Cheese and ham and bread, eggs, fruit...and coleslaw too!! She also gave us very appreciated suggestions about nearby restaurants. The room was extremely comfortable, with instant coffee and some treats for us. At night, no noise at all because the house is not in the center, but near a park, even if a pub and a basic restaurant are well within walking range. Position, if you don't mind a little driving, is strategic, because from Josephine's place you can visit all the Donegal and some part of Northern Ireland: Slieve League and Giant's Causeway are 1h30min away, by car. If I'll ever be in Donegal once again, I have no doubt where I want to sleep!

Excellent Host and Stay

Breakfast is continental, which suits us on days when we need a quick breakfast. Host is well educated on eateries if you want a cooked breakfast. Property is like home from home. Josephine has a brilliant location and is very knowledgeable about the local area, makes you feel at easy the minute you arrive to leaving. A++++ from David, Rosemary and Daniel

A highly recommendable place for exploring the surrounding area!

We had a very pleasant stay at Sessiagh House. It started with a very warm and friendly welcome by our host Josephine. We had a good time exploring the beautiful surroundings and enjoyed the peacefulness and quietness of Sessiagh House. Once again many thanks to Josephine for her obliging and generous kindness!

Rally weekend stay

Very nice host, very accommodating of our time, even let us request breakfast at a time that worked for us. Gave us information booklets so that we could see what was in the area. Close distance to Letterkenny and nice and fast access roads

A good value overnight stay with a warm and welcoming host.

Host was friendly and keen to ensure we were settled and comfortable. A good selection of cereals and items for breakfast.

Information such as Wi-fi code and leaflets would have been better in a file instead of being stuck on the door or taking up room on the dressing table and chair.

excellent en-suite room, information about the local area was in our room, breakfast was very well organised and delicious. Josephine was very accommodating and gave us so much information about what we could do and helpful with all of our questions.

Very Welcoming upon arrival, House was lovely & warm . Seperate living room for guests & plenty of things for kids . Spotlessly Clean bathroom fresh towels & plenty of hot water . It exceeded my expectations in some ways

Need new pillows there rather low . Would have preferred small hot breakfast instead of cereal & yoghurt. There's no wardrobe storage in the room.

Good place to stay, Josephine is really friendly and helpful host. She recommended to us Slieve League and it was perfect choice. We enjoyed our breakfast in the morning with plenty of coffee, boiled eggs and yoghurts etc.

Fantastic location, facilities and hosts

From the minute we arrived myself and my daughter felt very looked after by Josephine the host. They even gave us a lift to our destination. John's porridge is a treat, we would definately recommend it.

Josephine was the friendliest and loveliest lady you could ever meet and made you feel so much like you were at home.

Nothing at all but be aware that it is an Irish continental breakfast so plenty fruit yoghurt cereals toast etc. If you know this in advance then you wouldn't be disappointed that there was no hot food available. It was all yummy.

Josephine was friendly. She even went out and bought a new toaster for those in the group that are gluten free. Also got gluten free food for breakfast. Very helpful pointing out local sites of interest. Also restaurants for dinner.Would like to know if I can reach her through Booking.com

Pleasant experience

Stayed here for a family celebration in Castlefin. Such a delight to meet Josephine. A friendly open person who invites you into her lovely home as if she knew you all her life. Her home is spotless, all the wee personal touches in the bedroom. Eg. A jar of sweets, crisps, fresh water carafe, shower gels creams etc. A lovely continental breakfast, all you can eat. Couldn't recommend it enough. Will certainly be back.

Nothing at all was amiss in this home. Better than some hotels.

What a fantastic place to stay, hosts extremely friendly and welcoming. Lovely clean spacious house and quiet location. Josephine and John are both so helpful. Josephines attention to detail was fabulous, from the treats in the kids room, colouring packs and board games to the information booklets and displays telling all the things to do in Donegal and all the beaches listed. Would reccomend this house to anyone. First class. Thank you both so much for a pleasant relaxing stay

Superb

The host was so lovely and made us and our dog feel very welcome. Our dog has to be on lead all the time but she was able to be off the lead in the garden during our stay, which was such a lovely boost for her. We were greeted with a cup of tea and snacks on our arrival, which was very much beeded after a long drive. The host made our dog feel like part of the family and that was so nice!

A great B&B.

I had a great sty here travelling for work. I spend a lot of time on the road and it is great to find somewhere that exceeds my expectations. The room and bed were comfortable, and the hosts went out of their way to ensure I had everything I needed to enjoy the stay. I very much recommend Sessiagh House, and will be staying there again.
