I find the apartment excellent for travelers who would like to explore the island by car and have a safe and really quiet place to return to in the evening. The place is like an island of coziness and serenity in the middle of the mountain village, that probably had much more population back then when the house was built compared to what we see today. Even though there are some abandoned old village houses around, we felt ourselves very safe and at ease. The house is good looking, very clean and was equipped with everything that we needed. And everything really worked and was in a very good condition. We specially liked the very private balcony (or a small terrace) opening to the sea side. There are trees growing close to the balcony, thus, the sea view is maybe not as magnificent as it is when you drive down the mountain road towards Tigaki or Zipari. But the red dusk outlining beautifully the mountain tops of the Pserimos and Kalimnos islands is still an enchanting spectacle. And then you have a chance to hear the cicadas fall silent at sunset - all at once, almost as if someone had flipped a switch. And see the bats hunting insects close to the treetops still radiating the warmth of the day. These are wonders of the nature that you do not see while staying in the crowded beach hotel. The famous Zia village is around the corner and, if you like mountain hiking (in the sunrise), so is the track to mount Dikaios. The location is good, close to the center of the island, so many places of interest are just a short drive away.
Everything was just fine.

I wouldn't change a thing- maybe just a motion activated light on the patio to get in at night without tripping

Nikos’ traditional stone house is a postcard! So sweet and perfectly comfortable for a couple, would even be fine for families. It’s in a great spot in the middle of the island, you need transport but then exploring by car is so easy. It’s quiet and rural and there are chickens and wildlife all adding to the charm. Nikos lives on Kos island and is helpful and warm and friendly and can give you any advice you need.
The only slight downside for me (possibly a plus for some :D) is that there is no washing machine and we weren’t really there long enough to locate a laundrette so I’d take some handwashing products next time or some extra bits and leave the laundry for when I get home!
