Cozy hostel in Sapporo

The hosts are nice and welcoming. The place beds were comfortable and had extra storage tables/racks. Common places were spacious, and utilities were maintained clean. I liked the lobby, which felt quite cozy with books, magazines and other ambiance. The place is located close to Siroishi Subway Station, which has good connections to Shin Sapporo and Odori. There were many restaurants and malls near the hostel.

I think a light (in each bed) was missing in the female dormitory. We had to keep the common room light on. Bed lights could be good, especially during nighttime.

Very good stay, totally recommend~!

I stayed at Ino’s place around a whole month, and felt very at ease there! First things first, the hosts are very nice and helpful, yet don’t hesitate to let people know (nicely) if they do something that would make other customers uncomfortable (like if they talk too loud, don’t wash their dishes etc), which is very good, as it helps to maintain a comfortable atmosphere. By the way, the common room is very spacious and pleasant! Then, it’s super clean, which I was very glad for haha. The beds can be a bit hard for some people, but i think you can easily get used to it. As for the location, it’s not the best part of Sapporo and there’s not much to do around, but it’s totally okay as the place is very easily reachable from many different transports, and it’s super easy to join other parts of the city from there! All in all, it’s so worth it to come to Ino’s place, even more so when you compare the price to what they offer, I totally recommend! Thanks a lot for your kindness and welcoming ☺️

Nice hostel would stay again.

Accommodation is clean, owner is friendly and helpful, Good local amenities supermarket, convenience store, clothing store etc... close to Sapporo subway line Shared kitchen well equipped

long walk to JR rail lines; If wanted a/c there is a coin meter in the dorm; No individual bunk lighting

Excellent location, price, and layout

Excellent hostel for the suggested price. Clean, easy transportation, helpful and kind staff, spacious and comfortable common area, good room layout, and many (purchasable) amenities.

The only problem I found was that the shoe box at the entrance had quite a foul smell sometimes. I know this might be some of the guests' fault, but I wish they could find a way to minimize the problem (I'm not sure air fresheners would be enough, but it could be a start).

Pleasant

The staff was extremely nice, and there was a good atmosphere in the common room

Some of the described facilities were misleading. Air conditioning was not actually included and was at an extra hourly charge. The twin bed was in fact a bed for a single person (and a small one at that), so that my wife and I had to sleep in separate beds.

A classic in Sapporo

Ino's place has been around for a very long time (20+ years) and has been on every backpackers' radar visiting Sapporo. It's an old style hostel, inviting guests to connect and spend time together in the common area's. The staff was very kind and flexible, something I'm very thankful for. Rooms are clean and well maintained.

The rules are old-fashioned and there are a lot of extra charges, want air conditioning, a towel, etc? That will cost you more, and fees do add up. Why not just average it out and make everyone's stay more comfortable. No AC during summer is especially bad, or you have to pay a 1.000yen a night more. The location also takes 30 min to get to from Central Sapporo, lastly prices are significantly lower when booked direct.

Nice!

My first time in hostel and I worried a lot but it was not so bad. Other travelers were kind and host was nice. Lobby was comfortable and cozy. Free clothes, fan,and consent were provided.

Just a things you should notice are AC is 100yen per hour and you should pay for borrowing towels. It may little bit hot in summer but I was tolerable without using AC..

Accommodating Host and Space

Ino was the most wonderful hostel owner ever. I had to wait outside for a bit because there were only certain times in the day that the front desk was open to accept check-in, but despite this, communication with him was very easy during the check-in process. I found that I did not need to bring toiletries with me, for almost everything was provided for free! There was even a basket of free clothes, and a section in the communal fridge where you could get free food. The people in my room were quiet, and I absolutely had a great stay and would have extended if possible.

It was a bit awkward brushing my teeth because the communal sink was one, long sink, but it was just a personal issue.

Nice small hostel with good communal facilities and living room. Helpful staff

No Indoor parking for bicycles- but staff was helpful and provided a cover for the bikes against the rain. Sapporo is safe- 3 days the bicycles parked outside and nothing happened.

Comfortable and easy

It was clean and it has a kitchen included. Nice privacy because of curtains in dormitory. There was a box with free available clothes and toiletries.

The coffee is only in winter available for guests. As a summer guest it’s not available. Wrong/ incorrect information on the website. You need to pay for AC, but you can get fans for free.

Superb

Ino's Place is an excellent and welcoming hostel a subway ride away from the centre of Sapporo. There is a well serviced kitchen to cook your own food, lots of information for travelling, and a range of comfortable seating in the common room. The owner is helpful and extremely efficient.

Nice and inexpensive place to stay for a few nights.

It wasn't too far to the train station that takes you into central Sapporo. The room was nice and warm, and the shared space downstairs was really comfortable. The showers were very clean and the host was friendly!

I'd have preferred slightly thicker mattress but actually I didn't have any trouble sleeping.

A little Strict rule..

Bed is not very comfortable, but the main thing is that only 10 minutes after check out time they're inviting you to leave the guesthouse. (after check out I went to the toilet and then I was taking something from my backpack when this happened)

I’m definitely going to stay here, if I visit Sapporo again.

cozy vibed place, you can stay comfortably with other foreigner or Japanese travellers, staff was very friendly and helpful. all and all, a good experience. Wish could have spent more time there.
