Location next to highway surprisingly quiet but traffic was really bad

The location is fabulous! It is very close to New York, yet not in it. Also the hotel is close to many great restaurants! Nice and huge room.

I understand that we checked in late, but the front desk did not tell us that we needed to register our vehicle. As a result, we received a large warning violation notice on our car the next day. This could have easily been avoided if the front desk had provided the proper information at check-in. We were also planning to work from the hotel on the day we checked out. When we went out to grab a quick bite and planned to return to finish our workday, the front desk informed us that there would be a fee for luggage storage—even though we only had two small laptop backpacks. I found this quite ridiculous, especially given the hotel's stated goal of "helping modern travelers feel at home and in control on the road." We were also unsure whether we would be allowed to use the lounge when we returned from lunch. Because of this uncertainty, we ultimately had to leave and were unable to work for the rest of the day. It was only 2:00 PM. I was very disappointed by this experience. In my travels throughout Europe and other parts of the world, I have always been able to ask the front desk for temporary luggage storage and use a hotel workspace or lounge while waiting to leave. These are small conveniences that make a big difference for travelers, especially those who need to work remotely. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I am not sure I would choose to stay here again, particularly when I need a hotel that accommodates modern travelers who may need to work before departing.
