The house is simple and charming, a little bit old fashioned - but it is even better than the photos online. The sun room is amazing (even on rainy days)! We used the cozy fireplace every morning and evening and slept with the windows open every night. Blackberry bushes everywhere (bursting with fruit in August) and we even met several of the neighbors - all were very friendly. The best part about staying here was stepping out the front door and walking to the coast in just 10 mins. We had a lovely stay.
The house was hard to find when we arrived in the dark. Once there, it was a little tricky to find the key box, but eventually we sorted it out. The house number and 'Seawinds' sign were hard to read from the road. Perhaps consider a more friendly welcome set up. Robin Hood's Bay and Staithes are beautiful to visit. Whitby is busy but also nice. Walking the coast at Ravenscar was a highlight. Skip Scarborough!

We had a wonderful stay at Seawinds and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. The accommodation was spotless, spacious and beautifully presented, with everything we needed for a relaxing self-catering holiday. The kitchen was extremely well equipped, the beds were very comfortable, and the whole property felt like a real home from home.
The location is fantastic, with stunning sea views and easy access to Whitby and the surrounding coastline. It was the perfect base for exploring the area while still enjoying peace and quiet at the end of the day. Guest reviews consistently praise the property's cleanliness, comfort, excellent facilities and outstanding location, and we completely agree.
We especially appreciated the little touches that made our stay feel extra special. Everything had been thoughtfully prepared, making it easy to settle in and enjoy our holiday from the moment we arrived.
Overall, Seawinds is a fantastic self-catering property, and we would happily stay there again. Five stars from us!
