if you want peace.....it is the ideal place 🫠

Characterful, rural but close to city, very well equipped.

The location was perfect for us as we wanted to be on the outskirts of Lille (15 mins by car) but in a quiet, rural area. Well equipped kitchen. Very tidy. Large shower and modern bathroom. Parking on site. Lovely historic buildings. Also close to excellent restaurant 5 mins drive away - La Ribote in Englos.

The only comment is that the stairs are steep and open, and might not be suitable for the elderly or young children. We were all careful and it was fine, but it is good for guests to be aware. I would still visit again (2 x adults mid 50s, plus 2 young adults and a 13 year old, across 2 properties next to each other).

A beautiful and characterful french property, tastefully converted

I loved the character of the buildings, the remoteness in the middle of fields, and the peace that brought. I loved the comfortable bed and crisp clean bedding. I loved the friendly encounter with the owner's son. I wish I had stayed longer!

This is not a criticism, and it did not detract in any way from my happy experience at the gite, but the steps to the bedroom might not be perfect for everyone. For me there was no issue, and they are in keeping with the property style, but people with some mobility issues might find difficulty with them. Again, I found no issue.

L’accès à la mezzanine via l’échelle de meunier pas très pratique Il faisait froid durant notre court séjour et il faisait presque froid au RDC notamment dans la salle de bain avec un sol très froid voire une sensation humide. Literie pas très confortable
