The cottage was very quiet but also in a very central location. In this village the private parking place directly outside the cottage was much appreciated!

We loved everything about this accommodation! The host An gave us a warm welcome and showed us everything in the house. It is very well equipped and made us feel at home with great beds, a great bookshelf, Neflix and beautiful pictures of the surroundings. We enjoyed the evening sun in the garden with its lovely plants and comfy chairs. You can tell the host is dedicated to this place and to making guests feel at home, we appreciated the welcome gift and personal advice letter for excursions and restaurants very much! In the vicinity there are nice walks to be made and the beautiful abbey is well worth a visit. By car, there are some great hiking trails leading through Dartmoor and towns like Dartmouth with a nice little harbour are also near.
All in all, a wonderful place in a nice little village with many options for hiking but also close to the seaside.

The location is fabulous and having accommodation that has all the comforts of home is lovely.
The second bedroom might be a bit smaller for 2 older children- we didn’t use it so everything was lovely
