Nice simple, pretty, safe apartments. Good value.

Good location for me. Nice modern, clean apartment. Very nice dog!

The airport collection service cost the same as getting the local cab so no advantage to it and it wasn’t there when I arrived though a nice gentleman, Omar’s brother did wait with me. I was put in a different apartment across the road on the first night and had to move the next day which was a pain because of work commitments. Also wasn’t keen to stay in a place I didn’t know after arriving alone late in the evening. Omar wasn’t around a lot. Got hassled to pay full bill but wasn’t keen to until eg the hot water was working. Paid half and then settled on leaving.

Nos hubiera gustado alojarnos pero......

Desafortunadamente no nos alojamos en el apartamento que habíamos reservado ya que el mismo estaba ocupado por otros huéspedes. Nos alojaron en un establecimiento cercano ( Babas apartamentos ) que tenía unas camas cómodas pero era un apartamento muy oscuro, bastante desatendido y los cuartos de baño estaban sucios y olían muy mal. Desayunamos en el Bajo Kunda nos atendieron muy bien y nos pareció un alojamiento agradable y limpio. Una pena que no respetarán nuestra reserva.

Que no nos pudimos alojar en el Bajo Kunda, una pena :((

Perfect family stay

The perfect getaway with a nice local family. The only thing for us was the distance from the beach. It is quite far by walking, which we like to do, but at night time it is not so comfortable. If you have a ride this place is highly recommended!!

If you have wheels then no problem whatsoever. By walking it's quite far from the restaurants etc.

They did not have a room for us

When we got there they told us the room was not available and that they reserved a room in another hotel in the same road. The other hotel was good we would stay in the other hotel again.

Relaxed, sfeervol, gemoedelijk, typisch Afrikaans verblijf.

Behulpzaam personeel / goede lieve schoonmaaksters. Beveiliging s-nachts. Gemoedelijke sfeer met familie die guesthouse beheerd. Supermarkt en eettentjes dichtbij. En niet al te ver lopen (10 min.) naar Senegambia-strip (of pak een tuk-tuk).

NLse vrouw in appartement naast ons die haar stress had meegenomen op vakantie. Eerste keer best even moeten zoeken naar de locatie, geen bord langs de weg.

Nice location, quiet but be careful with your belongings.

Very nice location, near Senegambia. The location is clean and quiet.

You have to keep things that are important close to you. Things kept in the room are easily been taken by the staff. They should upgrade there security and educate the staff members with handling these kind of events.

would not go back

the place was clean some staff were nice

internet did not work due to local works on the road disconnecting the cables according to them. staff took long to text me back, and sometimes I felt my messages were just overlooked.

Exceptional

We had a wonderful stay at Bajo Kunda. Omar, Aisha and Joyce really make you feel at home and they were so helpful and kind to us. The place itself is a calm oasis in the middle of the busy city, we loved the green garden filled with banana and mango trees. Our room was great, spacious and nicely decorated, it had everything we needed and the bed was comfortable too! This guesthouse is perfect for people who want to get away from the touristic resorts and get to know the real Gambia. It's close to local shops, restaurants and bars and at a walking distance from the beach.

A beautyful place at a central quarter

The guesthouse is leaded by a friendly and helpful family. The staff is really wonderful. The place is very central. It is situated at a good quarter of town and you can reach the beach in 10 minutes by walk. Also there a restaurants, shops and local transport easy to get. The guesthouse itself is in a quiet and beautiful garden and yard. Everything is very clean and amazing. If you want the boss lady cooks you a wonderful meal.

Cheap and friendly- nothing more, nothing less.

We needed a short stay after landing in Gambia, and found Bajo Kunda which is kinda close to everything, and very cheap. The value for money is super, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful in referring taxis etc.

The guest house is a bit out of the way, compared to some of the other (more expensive!) options. It's a solid 10-15 minute walk away from the main eating/drinking street, which is a lot when it's on unlit and very wonky streets.

Nice smallish guesthouse ..its in middle of an upgrade but didn't detract from our time there ..basic facilities ..big living room .. bedroom and bathroom .. 5 mins from Senegambia strip .. friendly staff

Had bag stolen from room which ruined entire trip Poor security , poor check in check out and payment arrangements. Entry gate falling off hinges , only one small towel supplied. Poor stairway and landing lighting. Staircase to rooms in poor condition. Major building work was ongoing and there was no safe entry path to rooms , had to walk over building hazards at night.

The place to be if you're looking for a cozy room in Kololi area

The staff was very helpful and nice. The room is clean and I really felt home there as the place is managed by a local family who lives downstairs.

Nice and basic place to stay, we will come back

We had a very nice stay at Bajo Kunda. It's a Basic appartement with everything you need. They are still renovating the place and developing the place. Omar was there when we had a question and tried to make the stay for everyone nice. Generator is there and wifi is good :).

We only had a fridge in the kitchen so sometimes our drinks were frozen 😊

It was a perfect place to stay. Friendly staff .

The cleaning lady came in the room and took my toilet bag away with all my medicines in that i needed ! They should better place a basket for rubish so that they don't throw away anything from the clients!! The wifi upstars was very poor. If you want good wifi ask for room downstairs.

Highly recommend

Great and welcoming hosts, the appartement is spacious and fully equippt. We felt like home. The tarrace and garden to relax is also remarkable.

I engoyed my stay there and will recommend the place for any friend.

I like the staff are very kind and friendly. They were as nice as a pie. There was good internet services as well.

The room lack TV screen, and level of the cleaning which I think related to the ongoing work. Full fumigation will be useful to kill the cockroaches or any insects.

Great and simple

Like at home. Very large rooms. Well located.

Worksite in progress. Lack of privacy on the ground floor (windows of the bedroom and bathroom on a public hall. Lightening to be improved (bulbs to be changed, flashing lights...)
