The location was superb, lovely and quiet. A very bright and cosy property. Very clean, comfortable and well maintained throughout.

Perfect space to explore the moors and surrounding areas. So peaceful and quiet with a beautiful garden. Lots of extra touches around the home to make it a comfortable stay. Hosts are very lovely and friendly and provided eveything we needed.

Enjoyed my stay, and I'd gladly stay here again. The host met me on arrival and was very friendly. The kitchen area was small but well equipped. The bathroom and shower were lovely and the bed was comfortable. The living-room space was cosy and comfortable. There is a small garden that I'd have spent more time in had the weather been a little less drizzly. Parking and access were easy. The log-burner worked very well indeed and there was an ample supply of logs. I was able to wash and dry a small number of clothes. Recommended for single people and couples who need a comfortable and homely place to stay while in the region for work or leisure. One person could do 'desk work' while in residence, but its not ideal for that kind of activity. A great place to begin and end each day, but probably not a good place to spend an entire day unless you were really engrossed in a book.
There was nothing 'bad' about the place. Overall I'd say this is a great place to stay if you want to be out-and-about in the daytime and want to be cosy and comfortable overnight.

Umber House is in a perfect location to explore South Devon. It is in a lovely quiet and peaceful village. The accommodation was excellent, very modern and beautifully furnished.It was well equipped with all that we needed with the added bonus of welcome food and drink items.The garden was a little sun trap, we enjoyed being able to use the summer house in the owner's garden.
The hosts were very friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them. There was off road parking too.
