This period cottage has been renovated to an outstanding standard, with interior decor and artwork carefully curated to create a light, bright, elegant yet cosy space.
The cottage is spacious and the beds are exceptionally comfortable.
The kitchen is well equipped for self catering and the cottage is spotlessly clean.
The cottage is located outside of the village in quiet, pretty countryside.
This would be the perfect venue for a romantic getaway or a cosy weekend with friends.
Despite the spaciousness of the kitchen, we were disappointed to find that the cottage only has a small undercounter fridge with an icebox. Compromising on fridge/freezer space appears to be a decision that appears to have been made to conform with the kitchen design aesthetic rather than considering functionality and limits cold storage space, so bear this in mind if you are self catering.
We visited in early September, which is still in midge season, and sadly the midges here were the worst that we experienced anywhere on our three week road trip through Scotland. This wasn't an issue inside the cottage, but it meant that we couldn't eat outside in the lovely cottage garden despite the weather being glorious. I recognise that the midges are a function of the setting and beyond the owners' control but is worth bearing this limitation in mind if you are intending to visit in summer and planning to spend time in the garden.

Prachtig cottage, zeer goed en met smaak en goede producten ingericht. Wij hebben veel gereisd en dit cottage is de top. Aan slles gedacht en duurzaam ingevuld. Prima omgeving voor wandelingen.
Jammer dat we de eigenaren niet persoonlijk konden bedanken.

Location is beautiful. Lovely place, perfect for dog walks and peace and quiet. Lovely sized rooms and garden. Loved the place
Chipped plates and mugs. To be fair they probably need replaced regularly so an easy miss by hosts.Bathroom door handle area a bit grubby, but bedrooms and kitchen etc exceptionally clean.
A wee welcome basket would have been a lovely touch.
Would jump at the chance to go back, so just me being picky. Thanks for a lovely stay

The cottage was in a lovely, peaceful private setting. It had everything you needed with spacious rooms, tastefully decorated. Wonderful comfortable bed, had a fantastic sleep.
