Gumtree on Gillies Bed and Breakfast

Breakfast was ample and excellent.

The shower was over the spa. This is practical but makes access a bit more difficult.

It was clean , the host was very welcoming , the room was generously stocked with tea, coffee, non alcoholic drinks . Lovely walk through a pathway to the village and platypus pool

The "African Night" room is exceptionally comfortable and cozy, featuring a shoes-off entry just like back home in Japan, which made us feel right at home. The room was spotlessly clean, with daily housekeeping and fresh towels provided every day. From the room, we could enjoy views of the garden where Bush Stone-curlews and kangaroos casually passed by, and we even encountered a Laughing Kookaburra right outside our front door! The location is perfect for wildlife lovers—it’s within walking distance to the creek where you can spot wild platypuses, and in the evening, you can observe geese and cranes returning to their roosts. As we came specifically for wildlife watching, our stay was beyond satisfying. ​The breakfasts were absolutely delicious. You can choose from four different options, and every single choice is a winner. Waking up to the sound of birds, enjoying freshly squeezed seasonal juice, and having such a wonderful breakfast was the best possible way to start each day. The fridge was stocked with fresh milk and butter, so we could enjoy freshly brewed coffee and hot toast. The owners, Penny and Jorg, are wonderfully kind and warm-hearted, making every day feel special with their loving smiles. We would absolutely love to visit again!!
