Situated in Kitty Hawk, this lovely house for $400 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Everyone deserves a trip to their Happy Place! Equipped with all the comfort and conveniences of home, we hope Our Happy Place will soon become yours too! Just four blocks from beach access at the 3.5 milepost, Our Happy Place rests on top of a quiet hill in Kitty Hawk. Just a short drive over the bridge will take you there! Situated close to terrific local eateries and the Kitty Hawk Woods Coastal Reserve, and only a mile or two from movies, putt-putt, local spas and fitness, grocery stores, you’ll feel right in the middle of everything! The house boasts lots of natural light in the 3rd floor family room and a big corner lot with plenty of yard for games like volleyball and cornhole (boards and bags included.)

We rented this house to celebrate my 60th birthday. The house was awesome. Very clean, great layout and conveniently located right around the corner from my family. The owners were great to deal with!

Stayed from Aug 26-Sept 2 2023, have been to OBX many times before, but usually stay in Nags Head. It was 6 adults (parents + 2 adult children and their spouses), 1 child (>1 yr), and our dogs. The property itself was very nice- clean, bright and spacious. The stairs are a great workout, but certainly could be tiring for some folks. Also had plenty of nice flatware and glassware- something you rarely find in house rentals- so that was very refreshing! Pool was perfect, we spent a lot of time there. It was kind of hot for the hot tub, but we did go in once and it was also very nice. Brand new grill! We used it to cook a meal one evening. Very close to a lot of things- grocery, Brew Thrus, restaurants, ice cream, souvenir shops, etc.
The only downside doesn't really have anything to do with the house itself, but it's proximity to the beach. The house is on the non-ocean side of a VERY busy 4-lane road, so you have to walk a ways down (no sidewalks) to use a crosswalk, or you can drive. We usually like to be closer to the beach and walk instead of packing the car, driving, parking, unpacking, etc., so we ended up spending less time on the beach then I personally would have liked. May not be a big deal to others, just a preference that I should have paid closer attention to when booking.
Overall, would definitely recommend! Especially if you're more of a pool person than a beach person :)

I was worried about having to drive to the beach and park but the beach public parking was never full and was very easy to access! We also enjoyed being close to shopping, water park, golf, ice cream, etc! Our family loved the pool and hot tub! Great week!

Location is convenient to many attractions, shopping, etc., but not great for walking to the beach because of busy highway. Nice house overall, a few things did need attention which we shared with property owners. Management company should probably check up on the work of the cleaning staff.

The house is beautiful. We all enjoyed and loved the pool. Only thing needs improvement is the cleaning. I realize there is a quick turnover between guests but should always clean under the couches and lazy susan on dining room table, might help with some of the flying insects.

We had a blast staying here! It was close to everything, but still felt secluded enought that we weren't worried about road noise. The kids loved the swimming pool and games that were available. We would suggest this house to anyone.

Property was fantastic. Clean, I liked that lines and towels were provided. Home was conveniently located to restaurants and shopping. Pool and hot tube was nice. Having game room multi options was good.

We lucked out with a great house and great weather. It was the perfect space. The kids took over the game room and downstairs bedrooms. We all enjoyed game nights at the large table upstairs. Walking distance to family friendly restaurants and a quick drive to the beach.

We enjoyed our stay for a holiday beach vacation. The location was perfect and the game room was a lot of fun. Then kitchen was very well stocked and there was a lot of space for everyone. This was a great get away in a nice neighborhood and close enough to the beach for our daily walks.

Family vacation in the Outer Banks. We wanted to find a house large enough for all of us and we did. This house was huge and very very accommodating. Everyone had their own space. The pool was amazing!! The hot tub was amazing. The game room kept the kids busy when they were not in the pool. The gas grill is located right next to the pool which made it nice. We are already looking forward to next year!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here! Access to the beach and a nice pool to relax in after was wonderful. Only difficulty was a public restroom with younger children while on beach. We tried to park at public bath house, but usually lot was full. We did enjoy a Sunday dinner ordered at OBX boil company, seamless and easy seafood for all! Also went on captain jacks dolphin tour and I don’t suggest with smaller children because it’s 2 hours long. We also had a great dinner at owens restaurant. The house was comfortable and welcoming also well decorated! 2 refrigerators for leftovers and water bottles for beach days. We all enjoyed our stay!

Great location and access to shopping, food and the beach. Loved the pool and we spent most of our time there. Had a few issues from the prior tenant to deal with upon arrival from pets and personal usage,
but Emily was quick to respond back. My only wish is that they had someone return to clean what was left behind. Family enjoyed their time though, and would consider revisiting for sure! ⛱️🌅🐚

Our family loved this home! Such a spacious house with lots of room to spread out! The beautiful pool was adored by all as it was used every day of our week-long stay! The pool table provided nightly entertainment too! The home is in a great, quiet neighborhood with close proximity to the beach access and many local areas of interest. We appreciated having 2 full size refrigerators to store all of our groceries for the week and cooked many meals in the fully-stocked kitchen! Lots of happy memories were made, and we will likely be back in the years to come!

Great Property!
Overall it was a great stay! The downfall to the location is being across a super busy street from the beach (which is in the description). The pool could have been cleaned a little better! Our stay was pretty cold and rainy for the end of May but there were a ton of things to do in the house!

Highly recommend
My family and I went to the Outer Banks for a relaxing week and got just that! This house is absolutely beautiful, clean, pet friendly, had everything we needed and more!! Restaurants nearby, beach was not far (about a 2 minute drive), and mini golf very close by as well. The host would answer any questions I had almost immediately. Would definitely recommend. You won't be disappointed.

The only thing that couldve made this stay any better was if i came at the right time so we could use the pool! This place is beautiful, clean and has absolutely everything u will need on your stay. And everything was a short (like less than 5 minute) drive away. Awesome

Perfect Wedding Weekend
We rented this house to have a place for the bride to get ready on her big day and for her and the girls to relax and prep for the wedding cake “reception”. When the groom arrived, we were able to have the bride separated from the groom, thanks to the game area. One thing I recommend, not giving the address where you’re staying until after the ceremony. We had a few people show up before the wedding and it just made for a bit of chaos and wasted chat time. Our day was 20 min late from that moment on. Anyway, the house was so clean, cleanest of any we’ve rented over the last six years. It also has the best equipped kitchen ever! The owner or manager was so friendly when I had questions and when my mother asked about proper parking area. The wedding was on the beach at Jennette’s pier and there is grocery and food close by. I would definitely rent this house again if the opportunity arises. Thank you for sharing your home!

The house design was perfect for our family. We could put the baby to bed, chill, and the young adults could still watch movies or play pool. The pool was a great asset. The owner was fabulous to work with. She responded almost immediately to any of our questions. We would definitely reserve again.

Considering cleanliness we did have a few issues
had to wash mattress pads due to doghair? and sand
noticed a few live insects that shouldn't have been there
We have made allowances during this past year as properties are having difficulty with housekeeping.

Great Family Get Away
Our Happy Place was our happy place this summer. Thank you to the hosts for the wonderful accommodations. The pool was perfect for the hot summer weather. Bedroooms were well appointed and there were lots of activities to keep everyone occupied when we were away from the water.

This was the best property that we have stayed at on the Outer Banks in the past 5 years. 6 adults, one 6 yo and two dogs. Home was better than depicted in photos, manager was extremely responsive to the only issue we encountered in entering the place at beginning of stay. Everything as advertised.
