About this house rental
Situated in Lake Arrowhead, this lovely house for $225 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. The Pinewood is a 3-story, 2,598 square foot, elegantly decorated cabin with stunning angles and high, dramatic ceilings. Wood floors on the main and upper floors accentuate the cabin feel of the home. The house sleeps up to 8 people in 9 beds, with 4 separate bedrooms/sleeping areas. It has a fully stocked large kitchen with open concept. Contactless check-in makes it easy to show up when you want and not have to worry about meeting anyone. This home is super clean. Our rental permit allows up to 8 people. There's a minimum 3-night stay that includes a major holiday. The upper floor bedroom features 1 king bed and it's own ensuite bathroom. There is also lounge sitting area with a large lounge chair to snuggle up and read a good book, and also a small balcony. The main floor has 2 bedrooms. The queen room features a queen bed with smart TV, and large closet. The trundle room features a full bed and a single bed with a pull out trundle bed, smart TV, a large closet. The lower floor bedroom features two bunk beds and there is a comfortable sofa bed in the game room. There is also a smart TV, pool table, foosball table, huge cozy couch, fireplace, and separate area. Also on the lower floor is a full bathroom. Our guests always tell us this is their favorite area of the cabin. In case you need to wash some clothes or towels, there is a separate laundry room located on the lower floor. We have room for 3 cars in the front parking area. This home is ideal for family vacations, getaways with friends, or small retreats. There are 5 smart TVs, one on the main floor with the Spectrum app installed which allows you to get a variety of cable channels We also have great Wifi! The home has a large kitchen with everything you need to prepare your meals. In the kitchen is a regular coffee maker, and also a Keurig machine. We supply some coffee, coffee pods, creamer, and sugar. There are also some spices in the kitchen. Outside on the deck is a barbecue hooked up to a natural gas line, so you'll never run out of fuel. The lower deck has a fire pit and deck chairs for those beautiful chilly nights. Access to the property is very easy. Just nine steps up and you're down to the entry bridge. The parking is flat and accommodates 3 cars. In case of snow, there are snow shovels, a regular shovel, and snow-melt pellets for the decks and walkways. Short two minute drive to ARROWHEAD VILLAGE. Quick 5 minute drive to the New SANTAS VILLAGE (SKY ZONE) Almost LEVEL ENTRY in to home (only 9 steps) Close to fine dining, shopping, and hiking trails. This is the perfect vacation rental for a weekend away or available long term ! Things to consider: - This is NOT a party house. If you’re looking for a place to play loud music and party, this is not the right house for you. This is a house to relax in and enjoy nature, and the neighbors like having a peaceful, quiet neighborhood. - Our cabin is a non-smoking home. We do not allow smoking in the house, on the decks, or anywhere on the property. - Maximum occupancy is 8 persons per our county STR permit. - Firewood is there for all of our guests to use. Unfortunately, some of our guests have used excessive amounts of firewood leaving none available for the next guests. In order to avoid being charged for firewood, if you're going to have more than two fires, please replenish the firewood, which is available at nearby stores. - Security cameras are installed on the OUTSIDE ONLY and record video and audio for security and enforcement purposes only. By accepting this booking you agree to this recording. - Please DO NOT bring your own bedding and pillows. We have plenty of clean bedding and extra blankets at the cabin, and bringing bedding could subject the house to potential infestation of bed bugs, fleas, and other pests. The house is a short 7 minute drive to Lake Arrowhead Village where there are many shops and restaurants, Stater Brothers market, and McDonalds. It's also a 6 minute drive to Will Abell Memorial Trail which features an easy, beautiful hike. A short 11 minute drive will take you to SkyPark at Santa's Village for activities like mountain biking, skating, zip-lining and more! ** Lake Arrowhead is a private lake and our house comes with passes to access the Lake Arrowhead trails and shoreline. Please request the Lake Access Agreement for Short-term Rental Guests if you are interested in accessing the lake. You will need to register all guests in your group with the Arrowhead Lake Association and purchase wristbands.

We had an amazing time. The cabin was beautiful and very clean! The kids loved the pool table and bunk beds. Would definitely stay again!

What a lovely cozy getaway in Arrowhead! The house was perfect with all the amenities needed. Our favorite was the stocked firewood! The game room was a big hit with the kids. And owner Shannon was extra responsive when we had a couple of questions throughout our stay. All around wonderful weekend. Definitely hope to be back again someday!

Loved this place a lot. So many zones! Places for groups or individuals to find a spot to hang or isolate. Makes it so easy to relax or socialize. Super comfy furniture, huge windows and vaulted ceilings. Kids loved the play room. Adults loved the patios and shared spaces. Definitely want to come back again. Only reason for the * was the construction noise two doors down. Definitely made it harder to relax with open windows but still loved the overall experience. Hard to beat for sure. Thanks Shannon for being so responsive and helpful.

Arrowhead getaway
This place was perfect for our trip with 2 other families! It was clean, well maintained, and very cozy. It was close to Snow Valley and downtown Arrowhead. Would totally recommend!!

I stayed here twice in 2022 with two different groups, the house is in a good quiet location. The house could be a little cleaner. There were old pillowcases and candy wrappers under some of the beds. I also found candy and crackers all smushed in the downstairs couch when I removed cushions to look for something that fell.
The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, pots and pans, but there were chipped coffee mugs and some food particles stuck on pans and cooking spatulas.
Shannon was great and quick with questions, but the app to open the door could be a little easier to navigate.

We visited in the summer and the house was extremely hot each day. This place is probably wonderful in the winter. The house did not have a refrigerator that could produce enough cold to enjoy our visit. As a matter of fact we lost food due to the low performing refrigerator.
We reported the issue to Shannon. She was very concerned and tried to remedy the issue. Unfortunately the action was too little too late. They delivered a replacement fridge but didn't hang around long enough to plug it in. By the time we got back from being out and about, it was too late for it to become cold. The replacement did get cold but it wasn't soon enough, we had to check out.
The place is advertised to accommodate a big group but the appliances are under rated for the offering.
Shannon offered a $100 refund for the inconvenience but that was not enough to cover our expenses.
You cannot walk up to the front door without your every moved being potentially monitored both video and audio. As a matter of fact, they have a camera right above one of the bedroom windows. The camera cannot see in but it can listen to everything happening in the bedroom, the window had to be left opened to relieve some of the heat built up in the house.
All in all, Shannon was very pleasant and she tried to help. Unfortunately, she needs to be more concerned with the property delivering on the amenities it has advertised. The fridge may be okay for a regular use environment but that is not what this house is advertised as. The fridge as never cold, maybe the previous occupant, or the cleaning crew left it open for too long. I can only speak from our time.
On a final note, we were accused of taking 2 pillows. I tried reaching out to Shannon to come to a reasonable concession for out troubles but she didn't bother to respond.

Had a terrific stay. Shannon our Host was excellent and very attentive. Always available for the smallest of questions. The split levels was perfect for our needs. The lower game room floor was for all our girls to hang out, play pool, watch Netflix and even have S'mores on the balcony with the fire pit. And the main floor was a great setup for my 93 year old father in law to have his own room and bathroom without having to worry about stairs. It was a great time for all and close to all the activities at the Village and Lake Gregory for swimming. Would definitely stay again.
