We particularly loved the location, the spotless rooms, and the delicious breakfast.
We requested a dental kit and unfortunately never received a response.

The property is beautiful and stands in a lovely area and is surrounded by a moat. The staff were absolutely brilliant. They spoke great English and were very friendly. We were welcomed with a drink in the restaurant and the check in there was seamless. The room was a walk across the cobbled courtyard and up some stairs. We were given 3 keys to access the areas we needed to get to our room. There was an "honesty" area within the first area, with wine, beers and snacks, which although we didn't use, was a great touch.
Our room was very large, included a kitchen area and an enormous jacuzzi bath! Sadly we didn't have the time to use it. Dinner was good and as we were leaving before breakfast in the morning, we were given a bag full of breakfast items as we left after dinner.
The only negative thing I could say, was the walk from the car park to the actual hotel & restaurant was quite a way, on cobbled ground. (Not too easy if you are wearing heels, but totally in keeping with the style of the hotel )

Next to the castle domain (not in)
Smelly room which is actually a converted garage giving directly on the street, situated next to the guesthouse with the rest of the rooms, which itself is in turn situated outside the castle domain. The whole framing on Booking.com is misleading to justify a higher price tag. I didn’t realise this kind of misleading is still done in 2025
