Overall, the property is fantastic as was our host and his colleagues. We were made very welcome on arriving and looked after very well during the week of our stay. It was highly appreciated.
The location of Vila Município is excellent for reaching restaurants, travel hubs (train station, buses, tram, Tuk-tuks), shops & is within walking distance of the main tourist section of Sintra, which has an incredible selection of shops, restaurants, bars and places of interest to visit. There's also a fantastic taverna situated right next door, which opens between 10am-5pm. Coffee & breakfast there is a must.
The property itself is extremely well built and maintained. It's a one-bedroom ground floor apartment, with a small bathroom (shower), kitchenette and living room. It also has a small courtyard which is lovely to sit in when you either want more sun (morning/early afternoon) or less sun (late afternoon).
Our stay at Vila Municipio was a lovely experience & is highly recommended to anyone who is looking for a quality, value-for-money place to stay in Sintra.
There was nothing that we DIDN'T like but we would have liked a washing machine instead of a dishwasher, which we didn't use. The host explained that there wasn't a washing machine as some guests washed their clothes & hung them up to dry without opening any windows which, of course, causes black mould.
If there is any facility (within reason) that you would like, the host is very accommodating and will do his best to provide whatever it is you're looking for.

What I like about this place is the cleanliness, the attention to detail and the personalize welcome by the owner. He was friendly, kind and very helpful and he even left us a bottle of wine and local pastries which that makes this place so special
