Breakfast was excellent, better than at most hotels I’ve stayed.
It’s not a serious inconvenience but having to go down & up for a shower, & sometimes find it’s in use, was a little bit of hassle.

Small guest house with three rooms in a fantastic location five minutes from the station. Really friendly host with decent English who clearly likes meeting guests from all over the world. Plus a cute dog! What more could I ask?
Nice breakfasts too, especially the Japanese style. Rooms were a decent size by Japanese standards.
A really great place to stay.
One shower between all guests, but in practice this was never a problem.
Beware steep stairs if you have accessibility needs.

The location is incredibly convenient—just a short walk from Kyoto Station, and we could easily reach the accommodation within about 10 minutes after leaving the station.
We chose a traditional Japanese-style room, and it turned out to be such a lovely experience. The room was quiet and peaceful, and I slept wonderfully here.
The host was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and their little dog was just as friendly and adorable! 🐶 We honestly had a much better experience than we expected and were very happy that we chose to stay here. Thank you for making our stay in Kyoto so comfortable and memorable!
