Just a block or so from Omiya station. Rooms were comfortable and had all the amenities. Staff was very helpful. Especially with figuring out how to ship my luggage to the next hotel. Breakfast was excellent with variety of choices and local Japanese dishes.

Clean and tidy.
I booked a double room and a twin room. Unfortunately they didn't have interconnecting rooms, which are pretty important for families.
Coming to the property, they didn't have a twin room at the expected price - only a single room. a twin room was vastly more than what was initially decided. We settled for two double rooms.
The double room only came with one pillow and one bath towel. Strange, since we specified we would be a family of four. Never mind, we could collect another pillow and bath towel from reception. But after every daily cleaning, the towel was never replaced and we always had to get another one.
There were some efforts to make seem it was a family friendly hotel - books and toys to borrow for free, a free ice cream in the afternoon, and even themed pillows to borrow. But the pillow availability was limited and we only managed to get one on the very last day of our stay.
The fridge in the room is great - but why did someone have to turn off the fridge when we still had food inside it?
