About this house rental
Situated in Reno, this attractive house for $169 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Wow factor, for sure. Reno living at it's finest, with spectacular city & river views! This one bedroom, two bath condo looks over Wingfield Park & is located on the Riverwalk, where you can enjoy many events like movie night on the river, concerts, and shows right across the street. Walk to the movie theater, restaurants, cafes, gastropubs, entertainment, shows, casinos, gyms, bars, or lounges. Downtown entertainment includes wine walks every other Saturday and the Downtown Farmers Market.

There were not a lot of electrical outlets, so we moved a cabinet in the bedroom so we could get to the outlet. The floor obviously had not been dusted for a long time. There were huge dust bunnies there and in other corners.
The fact that there was a smart TV was nice, but it would be appreciated if there were directions as to how to access the various features. It became apparent after spending some time figuring it out that there was no cable (although there was a cable remote). Not a big deal, but a lot of places do provide more information for guests.
Finally, I think the host should mention that the mattress is virtually on the floor. It would be difficult for someone with mobility issues.
Aside from those concerns, very nice apartment, terrific location and comfortable.

We loved this condo.
A (tight) spot in the garage, big windows, such an awesome view of the riverwalk and downtown Reno. Walking distance to grocery (a co-op around the corner), starbucks and a ton of restaurants. The condo has 2 full bathrooms so my husband and I had our own. Good kitchen, and living room with streaming services, a good desk and free wifi. Close to LT - we went to hiking in Incline Village a short drive away.
Communication with owner was good
We would stay there again.

We truly enjoyed our stay in this lovely condo. An excellent location with gorgeous views of the river and downtown Reno. We walked to events and restaurants.
We enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the evening.
We would offer the owners just a few suggestions.
The instructions for entry were a bit confusing. It was unclear whether the owners would be at the condo to greet us or if we would be able to access the place by just a code.
The instructions also were very late in coming.
There were just a few items missing. None of these things were a big deal, but if the owners had stayed in the place recently, they would have realized these items were missing. We bought them and left them:
1. No hand towels in the bathrooms
2. No hand towel or dish soap in the kitchen to wash dishes
3. No tissues
4. The toilet paper was about to run out and there was no back up.
Future guests should know it is not a regular bed – the mattress sits on a frame that is 2 inches from the floor.
The other “odd” thing was I asked about recycling and the response was that Nevada hadn’t recycled since 2018, and that I shouldn’t “waste my time.”
Later I noticed 3 large recycling bins in the garage where tenants put their recycling. It was odd that the owners had not provided me with that information when I first asked the question.
Despite the missing items and the quirkiness of the owners, this is a lovely condo and was the perfect location for our stay in Reno.

I found this property kind of last minute. I was looking for a nice are to do a photo shoot, inside and out and not have to pay a arm and leg. I fell apun this beauty and the hosts were great. Besides getting into the garage my stay was fantastic. Thank you very much.

Perfect location for great riverside dining & easy trip to UNR. Unit was beautiful & clean. Building was clean, safe & quiet. Please rent a small car, the garage is tight, but our small car fit perfectly. We will choose this rental again!

We stayed at this property during the 2022 Hot August Nights in Reno. We did not have a car in the show although we have family elsewhere who did. The location was perfect - less than 2 blocks to the bridge on Virginia St and a few more blocks to the Arch. Enjoyed the energetic cruise every night!

Great restaurants along the river - we dined at Wild River Grille (superb martinis!) and Smith & River (fantastic food and friendly service). Great off street parking under the building and secure entry.
Hope was very responsive and met us upon entry. We will definitely stay again when in Reno.

First, what a great place. Me and my group enjoyed our stay. Hope was super helpful when I called her. I would caution people with larger vehicles to consider using parking other than the parking spot in the garage. I have a Toyota Tundra and it was tight getting in and out of the garage.

The unit was centrally located and had great views. The kitchen was fully operational and stocked for cooking, serving, etc…
A few concerns on our end:
1- Communication about check in was shared less than an hour before check in time. Given it is a downtown unit and parking garage unloading and general instructions are extremely important, I’d suggest the host communicate all that information in advance for a smoother check in process. Especially if tenants may be traveling long and wifi may affect retrieval of info from the Vrbo app. The message on the app was long and unclear given all the different components of the check in process.
2- Heat- if you’re coming to Reno in the winter or it happens to be unseasonable cold, the furnace doesn’t appear to work. Only two Space heaters were available to heat the entire unit.
3- Cleanliness- the unit was not thoroughly cleaned. There was dust on tables, windows, and the fan in the bedroom. We also saw dead insects on the indoor window sills and a live bug crawling inside. There was also mold in the master bathroom.

4- Bed- the master bedroom bed is only a futon bed. If you need a comfortable bed, this isn’t it.
Between all these items and a heated pre-check in discussion with an obviously annoyed owner, this was overall, an average to below average stay but it didn’t ruin our 3 days with our son on his graduation.
