Located in St Germain, this charming house for $467 per night is a great choice for your next break. Enter Summerhaven through the winding wooded road and find yourself on a beautiful lake with wildlife all around. The home is located 15 feet from the waters edge and has 150 feet of level sandy shoreline. Enjoy your morning coffee on the porch overlooking the lake where Loons and Eagles soar above. Bring your bike or rent one in town and enjoy a five mile ride around the lake or use the many bike paths or back roads that connect quaint towns for you to explore. Beautiful views and wildlife can be seen while you walk the roads or hike the many trails. You can also rent an ATV locally and experience the top quality trails that surround the area. You will experience great fishing on this lake. Kids can catch panfish right off the private pier and for the serious angler Lost Lake is one of the lakes in the Greater Wisconsin Musky Tournament. This years tournament date is October 7th. Another fishing tournament is the Fishing With The Stars on May 20th. Other activities are the Monday Flea Market in St. Germain beginning on May 29th, Cathy's Ice Cream, Monday Night Bingo starting June 5th, The Annual Walk in the Woods Art Fair on June 10th, the Up North Beer Fest on June 9th and 10th, Sip-N-Shop Wine Walk on June 17th, Farmers Markets, and 4th of July Fireworks. There are also many area craft shows throughout the summer as well. For those who enjoy cycling, The September Bike Ride is on Sept 9th. Colorama Fall Festival and the Fall Foliage Color Run are on Sept 16th. The ATV Fall Fest is on Sept 23rd and Cranberry Fest is on Oct 7th and 8th. In addition, the area offers outstanding restaurants, bars and breweries, gift shops and thrift stores. For a memorable experience drive your boat to Murmuring Waters on the southwest shore of Lost Lake for their daily specials. In the daytime enjoy the beautiful clear sandy shoreline which has a gentle slope perfect for kids to swim and play in. You can also rent a pontoon or jet ski and hang out on the water or simply enjoy Summerhaven's Relaxation Station. For an adventure, you can take a half-day rafting trip down the Wisconsin River. For kids, there's miniature golf, go-carts, climbing walls, and horse back riding nearby. On a rainy day Summerhaven has an assortment of traditional board games, puzzles and movies to enjoy. In the evenings enjoy a cozy fire in the fire pit, counting the stars, roasting marshmallows and enjoying your favorite beverage. We had a great stay and Jeff was great to work with. The house was clean and ready for our arrival. It was roomy and plenty big enough for our group of 7. Fishing was great right off of the pier. Perhaps a couple of the mattresses could be changed out in the future, but overall, the house was great and we would definitely visit again.

My family had the best weekend relaxing here! The house is plenty big for our family of 8 adults. The sunsets and sunrises were beautiful. We loved sitting around the fire pit at night and swimming in the lake during the day.

We stayed at this Lost Lake location for the first week of August for a family vacation and generally found the property to be adequate for our family's needs. The house can sleep a lot of people and had a good kitchen and common spaces. The house could benefit from some updates and maintenance, but ultimately did fine for us for our stay.

I have been renting various properties through VRBO for decades! This house is warm and inviting with lovely views of the lake. We love to cook as a family and the well-equipped kitchen and dining areas accommodated us all (11 and a two-year-old) nicely. The dock area was accessible for our boat and kayaks and we had a flotilla of Fluzzles (interlocking modular tubes) anchored in the bay area at all times. Nice sandy bottom on the lake. I would recommend this property for larger families who like to be all under the same roof and our host Jeff was very approachable and available if we had questions. A good time was had by all!

One bedroom did not have A/C. The toilet was clogged for a few days due to a pump issue in the septic system. The A/C froze up and leaked through the ceiling from the second to first floor. The neighbors are pricks. We literally had a leash for a dog and someone let it out of the cabin by mistake and the neighbors reported us instead of speaking with us as adults. No easy entry into the water. My sister had a hip replacement and it was impossible for her to access the lake without a step stool. Not enough trash bins. Lots of dead trees along the driveway, a high wind would knock them over onto a vehicle. Driveway is very narrow and windy making it difficult to back a boat or utility trailer.

Everything was wonderful! Only complaint was that the heater didn't seem to work in the living room area (the weather was unusually cold the first few days) and the listing said linens were included, but that didn't include any towels. Contact with owner was easy and we were able to get mini issues resolved quickly. What a nice and comfortable cabin...and it really is right near the water!

We enjoyed the cabin, especially the front porch with the view and lake breeze. There was enough room for our family of 5 adults and 2 littles. Lost Lake is sandy & shallow.

A great place!
The setting is picture perfect. There was plenty of room for our group of 4 adults and two children. Great swimming. The home is well equipped and nicely furnished. If you like to bike, be sure to ride the Heart of Vilas trail!

It was nice cabin on a beautiful lake. I'm sure if we didn't have issues it would have been very nice. Unfortunately, one of the beds in a bedroom had an extremely large mouse net. There was mouse droppings all over the floor and room. It was clear by the size of the nest that this room had not been cleaned in a long time. When I called him about it he told me to change the sheets myself and vacuum the floor. The owner did absolutely nothing to offer any type of compensation for us not being able to use the bedroom. He sent pest control to the house and while there they found additional mice in the kitchen and closets. Traps were set that day. We were there for additional 3 days. Not once did he ask if we saw more mice or if we were satisfied. The place was nice and it could have been a nice stay. Very poor customer service and I would strongly recommend that you not use this property.

Surrounded by beauty
We loved the views and nature that surrounded beautiful Summerhaven. Enjoyed lake time, bird watching and long walks. Jeff was a very responsive and accommodating host. The location of this rental is great & close to many cute northern towns. Lost lake was great for kayaking, fishing and tubing. We really enjoyed our stay!

That was over twice/person/day of what we paid last August for the eight adults! Needless to say that was a SHOCK! Obviously we worked through that with the owner and stayed the week.
This was a very nice home to rent. The positives for us included having four bedrooms; one for us and one for each of our three married children.
There was a set of bunk beds where the four and two year old kids slept in the room with their parents. There was room for a Pack & Play in the large closet in the room with another couple. And there was room in the upstairs bathroom for the infant to sleep in his P & P.
There is a den where the kids could play and a sunroom facing south for morning quiet times and afternoon reading. We used the firepit, the Weber grill, the TV a little, and the lake. The water is shallow and the lake floor is sandy, :-). Perfect for the little kids to play in. Highlights included the eagles flying overhead and the loons. We took a paddle board and kayaks and enjoyed seeing Lost Lake from the water.
This is a great place and we hope to return next year. Thanks so much to the owner Jeff, for making this family vacation a HUGE success!

great spot on Lost Lake. Fantastic swimming and the house is 15 feet from the lake. beautiful views and nice sand bottom for swimming and wading. shallow for small kids a plus. fishing is good in the lake... lots of panfish and we boated a 38" musky. would definitely recommend. great birds to view!

Summerhaven
Group and family and friends rented Summerhaven to have access to the UTV trails. Beautiful location and settting. Amazing sunrises from the dock!! Jeff was great to work with!! Highly recommend

Our group of 6 had a wonderful time here. Home is sooo close to the waters edge! Home felt nostalgic, yet had all the updates that made our stay wonderful. Very convenient to Sayner, and St Germain, and less than 30 minutes to Minocqua or Eagle River.

Loved it!
A great Labor Day weekend in the books! Our kids loved it, there was enough room for everybody. Kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. It really felt like home for the weekend. Enjoyed the fire pit and our coffee on the porch in the morning. This is probably the first time I would choose a rental again (we come up to the eagle river area 2-3x a year). Thank you!!!!

Wonderful week in the Northwoods!
We had a great week at SummerHaven. Kids fished and swam by the pier. House was perfect for our two families and location was nice for bike trails and proximity to town. Eagles were amazing to see so close. Jeff was always available and we appreciate all of Tom’s hard work cleaning. Thanks for opening your home for others to enjoy!

Fantastic getaway
We just returned from a week at Summerhaven on Lost Lake and had such a wonderful time. Jeff was incredibly responsive and proactive in his communication with us ahead of our trip, and also very quick to respond if anything come up while we were there. The kitchen was well-stocked with any items we'd need. It was also very clean and we appreciated the additional care to cleaning amid COVID.
We had 10 people in our group and we had plenty of space in the home. It never felt too cramped or small. We enjoyed evening campfires which overlooked the water. We even had daily experiences with seeing and hearing eagles up close and personal - something no one in our group had ever experienced! Many of us ran/biked around the lake (5.25 miles), with about 800 yards on Hwy 155. Great fishing from the pier and anybody who fished was able to get something!
We took Jeff's recommendation and got carry-out from Patty's Murmuring Waters for Friday fish fry and the food was delicious.
One thing that may be helpful is that if you have younger kids in your group, biking for them must be planned out/travel to another location - we felt it wasn't safe to let them go out on Lost Lake Rd (cars going too fast, no real bike lane). Our children (ages 10 and 6) are used to riding their bikes around right from home base (either our home or the campsite), but they weren't able to do that here without an adult.
We had such a fantastic time and hope to be back in the future! Thank you, Jeff!

Great Lake home!
Our family vacation here was so wonderful! We enjoyed the large house that was so very close to the lake! The house had lots of storage and enough room for our stuff.
We loved seeing the eagles several time a day! Swimming and kayaking was done everyday. Nice sand bottom was a bonus! Lots of fish, we had enough fish to have a fish fry by after two days!
We also liked the hiking and biking trails nearby.
We will return!

Great Time on Lost Lake!
Wonderful week at Summerhaven on Lost Lake with the family. The house was very clean, well maintained and had everything we needed for a perfect week. The lake is clear and beautiful- we were able to see deer, eagles and a loon right at the property. Jeff was very responsive and was able to answer any questions. We hope to go back next year!

Great cabin on a nice lake
Our group of 7 had lots of space to spread out in this lovely cabin. Even a small extra TV room for when kids needed a break from the lake. Beds were comfy and kitchen well stocked.
We were able to dock a 25ft pontoon boat off the pier. Lake had good fishing (Musky, Walleye, perch, bluegill, and sungish). Lake had ample room for water skiing/tubing, but quiet hours for kayaking and fishers too.
Add to that places near by for biking, hiking, mini golf, go karts, and horseback riding there was never a dull moment. Enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful property!
Spent a fantastic July 4 week here. The house was perfect! It is huge and it is CLEAN! The sunroom alone is worth the rental. Jeff worked hard to accommodate our WiFi needs and it couldn’t have turned out better. So glad we’ve discovered Lost Lake and this house.
