About this house rental
Nestled in Vermilion, this lovely house for $195 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. It's time to sit back, relax and enjoy time at our Riverside Retreat and watch the boats go down the Vermilion River from the front deck. Our vacation retreat sleeps 2-3 comfortably, possibly 4&5 people. We also welcome 1 med or 2 small dogs for $100/stay. Our newly renovated home is fully furnished and equipped with wi-fi, air conditioning, all kitchen appliances and fully stocked. The front deck offers an awesome view of the Vermilion River furnished to relax and enjoy. (Please note we are NOT located riverfront, our house is a across the street from the river, but we have an awesome, unobstructed view of the river and we do NOT have a boat dock, but can furnish information on public marinas in the area). The back deck is also fully furnished including a hot tub and both a charcoal and propane grill. The Master Bedroom has another breathtaking view of the river with a futon to sit and enjoy your morning coffee. The Spa-like Master Bath located between the Master Bedroom and the 2nd Bedroom (which has a trundle bed that sleeps one or two) has a new jetted tub and is also a very spa-like escape. IF WE FIND OUR HOUSE CHANGED IN ANY WAY, WE WILL CHARGE YOUR DAMAGE DEPOSIT FOR ADDITIONAL CLEANING AND STAGING FEES TO PUT THE HOUSE BACK THE WAY WE (THE OWNERS) HAD IT! IF YOU BREAK SOMETHING, DON'T LEAVE IT FOR SOMEONE ELSE TO FIND, PLEASE LET US KNOW SO IT CAN BE FIXED IMMEDIATELY. ALSO NOTE: THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO FISH CLEANING ALLOWED ON THE PROPERTY ANYWHERE OR IN THE HOUSE. We absolutely love staying at this property. It is our 2nd time and every little detail is taken care of from the fully stocked kitchen essentials to toiletries and all the comforts of home.
We were even greeted (both stays) with a lovely bottle of wine and welcome gift. We absolutely love the neighborhood and feel so much at home while we stay. The house is decorated as if someone lives there full time and the owners are so generous with extra linens, and all the things you might forget (from bug spray to sunscreen to ziplock bags).
When they say they are pet friendly, they aren’t kidding. There are extra toys, treats and even a mat for your dog dishes. Our little shihtzus love getting to feel pampered as well. We can’t say enough about this property and the incredible hosts. We will stay here again and again!

Our primary purpose of our trip was to meet up with other friends staying near by to go fishing . The home was very well equipped with everything . The bed we slept in was very comfortable , the shower was very nice . The neighborhood was very quiet as well . The home is located close to numerous restaurants and stores which was very convenient ! I would recommend this place to anyone and would go back there as well !

We were searching for someplace to relax over the Memorial Day weekend near the Lake Erie shoreline….Luckily, we found a nice, clean and comfortable little place in Vermillion. The cottage was very well equipped for our needs. We enjoyed exploring the area during the daytime….and then returning to the cottage for a relaxing evening cooking dinner and just lounging in the quiet comfort. Thank you to the hosts for providing such a nicely equipped kitchen and outdoor grilling area…..we loved it. Will most likely return again sometime…..

I really cannot say enough positive things about this property and the owners. The place was amazingly kept and clean! They had a cheese board and crackers with bologna as a welcome gift along with a bottle of wine. The property has everything you would think about needing for a trip away from home, all you need to bring is yourself and your clothing. Both of the decks are a very wonderful space to hang out and spend your time. The hot tub is in fabulous shape and a wonderful treat after a day at Lake Erie. The town this house is located in is very cute and quaint. It is close to a grocery store and downtown which has great restaurants and a very good little ice cream shop. If you are even considering booking this property, do it! You will not regret it!

We loved our stay at Riverside Retreat! The location can not be beat! The river views and close location to the Lake made our time so enjoyable. We loved checking out all of the marinas, parks and beaches that Vermilion and Huron have to offer. Joyce and Dave have thought of everything to insure that their guests have it all! Bikes, kayaks, fire pit and twinkle lights to name a few.
The goodie bag was beyond anything we have ever experienced before.
It is difficult to find a great place that allows pets and Riverside Retreat is at the top of our list!
We are looking forward to returning to check out the river and lake when the snow flies!

This was our first time renting a VRBO property because we usually use “the other home rental group” and we were not disappointed! The home was beautiful and felt like we were staying at a friends home. Super comfortable and lots of spaces to relax. Absolutely everything we needed was right at our fingertips, we could have practically shown up with just the clothes on our backs and been fine! Very quiet neighborhood, hardly saw another soul. The location is just perfect. It doesn’t matter if you turn left or right on RT 6 you will not be bored and this home is right in the middle. One of our favorite things was how close it was to go home for a quick meal and head right back down to Main Street for a beach sunset. The only issue (and it’s really a personal choice) was that the hot tub was too hot for us to use (103-4) and you’re not allowed to adjust it (understandable, I’m sure the owners have dealt with problems in the past!) They went out of their way to welcome and make us feel special for our anniversary and we were very appreciative and will be back for sure!

Very cute and cozy! We stayed for a couple days between Christmas and New Years, and it was exactly what we needed. I love the decorations and accommodations this place offers, especially the washer/dryer and dishwasher! Joyce and Dave are very communicative and accommodating. The owners pulled out all the stops to make this a beautiful, warm and cozy place to stay! There were tons of adorable decorations and extras to make you feel very welcomed! Even a gorgous tree in the living room. Handy man came and shoveled the stairs and porch for us and put down salt. We met a few people who knew the owners and everyone agreed they are super nice people. The hot tub was clean and so nice to soak in! Only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 on cleanliness is because there was alot of dust bunnies and spider webs around, just seemed it needed a good vaccumming but the owners hubby had just gotten out of the hospitol so I don't blame her for that little hiccup. Over all oved it and would stay again!
