City Lion is an modern, purpose-built apartment building with four floors and three units on each. There is a reception/concierge desk on the first floor staffed from 9 AM to 10 PM, which was extremely helpful. They answered our questions about both the apartment and Heraklion, and it was very convenient to leave our luggage with them after checkout.
The location is excellent. Lion Square and the heart of the old town are only about a two-minute walk away, with shops, restaurants, the Church of St. Titus, the Morosini Fountain, the Central Market, and the harbor all nearby.
We parked at Iraklio Center, about a four-minute walk from the apartment. It is valet parking with in-and-out privileges and a very friendly staff, which worked very well for us.
The apartment itself was ultra-modern, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The kitchen is fairly basic, with four place settings and standard utensils, but it was perfectly adequate. We picked up groceries at a nearby supermarket and cooked eggs and toast each morning.
There is also a convenient delivery service offering breakfast, lunch, and drinks from a nice menu at reasonable prices. We didn't try it because we preferred making our own breakfast, but it was a nice option to have available.
The biggest drawback for us was the lack of a pleasant view. Our apartment looked out over the back streets and neighboring buildings, some of which were in fairly poor condition. Given how modern and attractive the apartment itself is, the outlook was a bit disappointing and definitely not one of the property's strengths.
Arriving late at night, the few blocks between the parking garage and the apartment also felt a little rough around the edges. That was initially off-putting, although we never felt unsafe and it was not an issue during the rest of our stay.

Located right in the city centre. Beautiful and clean inside, easy instructions. Room was really beautiful, exceeded my expectations. Loved the extra privacy with the sliding doors inside the room. The staff were super friendly and very helpful with everything.

Wonderfully comfortable and properly appointed apartments.
The unit was in a very good location but on a side street adjacent to a grungy part of town. Also, because of the maze of side streets it was a little difficult to find initially.
