About this house rental
Set directly beside Brunel’s iconic Royal Albert Bridge, this bright two‑storey detached home offers uninterrupted river views and a peaceful base for exploring both Cornwall and Devon. Open the patio doors and watch sailing boats drift along the Tamar from the comfort of the lounge, or unwind on the balcony with a book and a chilled drink as the sun sets.
The compact, well‑equipped kitchen includes an electric hob, oven, microwave and small fridge/freezer. If you need anything extra during your stay, just let us know. The lounge features a TV with Freeview and reliable Wi‑Fi for streaming or catching up on emails.
Upstairs, a good‑sized double bed with quality linen and a cosy duvet provides a restful night’s sleep. The separate bathroom includes a shower, basin and WC. Central heating and plentiful hot water ensure the property stays comfortable all year round.
Off‑road parking is provided, and an on‑site electric vehicle charger is available for a small fee. Well‑behaved pets are welcome by arrangement; we simply ask that they are not left alone in the property and do not climb or sleep on the furniture or bed.
Perfect for walkers and nature lovers, the house sits at the Gateway to Cornwall while also offering easy access to the spectacular landscapes of Dartmoor. Spend your days exploring moorland tors, coastal paths and historic villages, then return to riverside tranquillity. Local rail and river links make visiting coastal towns such as Looe and St Ives simple, while Plymouth’s waterfront, theatres and historic quarters are just a short bus or taxi ride away. The bus stops around the corner from the property and runs 7 days a week for a trip into the City Centre, Barbican Area and the Hoe waterside area.

Fantastic spot for relaxing and visiting Plymouth. Public transport bus route very close was really great for exploring. The cottage was lovely along with the welcome and all communication with Elaine. Would recommend.

This is an ideal property for that weekend getaway. Great amenities, spotlessly clean. Communication was excellent, which was vital as we were travelling through Europe before we arrived UK. I would highly recommend both Elaine and the property. Made our stay most enjoyable.
