About this house rental
Vehicular access is limited, there is an allocated parking/turning area which is OK for 4 to 5 cars five minutes walk from the Centre. This means that you will have to walk approximately 200 metres downhill from the car parking area to the Centre- and then walk back uphill on your return to the parking area. There is a properly made footpath but not suitable for wheeled buggies/chairs/case). The walk is not suitable for people with any mobility issues (e.g. breathing difficulties, heart conditions, impaired walking ability). You should wear sensible footwear and ensure all belongings are properly packed (back packs obviously best); if arriving after dark you should bring a torch.
With stunning views of the Howgills and the sound of the river in the valley below it is an amazing place to relax and leave your cares behind.
It is great for a family holiday but please note it is an “outdoor centre” and not a “standard holiday home”. The sleeping accommodation is in bunk beds and there are no laundry facilities. It is superb if you are looking for something “different” and secluded/remote but please do not book if are looking for a town/city break!
Note:
Mobile phone coverage is limited.
There is WiFi at this property.
