About this house rental
Located in SLO's Old Town Historic District, featuring beautifully restored Victorian and Craftsman homes, this two bedroom Craftsman is less than a 5 minute walk to downtown shops/restaurants/nightlife. Despite its central location, the house is situated on a quiet street without heavy traffic. The property includes a private yard with a large (8 person) hot tub and grill.
The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need for gourmet or casual cooking. The living room features a flatscreen TV, HD DirecTV, and full sized sofa. Each of the bedrooms features a very comfortable queen sized bed (1 sleigh bed and 1 brass bed). There is also a desk in the primary bedroom. It’s a cozy little house ideal for families or friends. As it is an older home, it has its quirks! A couple things to be aware of: 1. the water pressure in the shower can be low. Avoid running other water during shower time. 2. If you choose to use the window AC, avoid also using other appliances as it will trip the fuse.
Please note, the driveway is our neighbor’s and cannot be used for any reason. Parking is available on the street and can sometimes be a challenge, especially on Thursday nights due to farmers market downtown.

This property was very close to downtown San Luis Obispo, which was so convenient. It was also pet-friendly, which is very important to us. Great neighborhood to take the dog out for her walks! The curb appeal is quaint. The interior of the property, however, is incredibly worn. Some home improvement projects are definitely in order. Fresh paint and a deep clean would be advantageous. The trash in the bathroom from the previous guest had not been emptied before our arrival, which was disconcerting. There was also white pet hair all over the sofa from the prior occupant that had not been vacuumed up. This, combined with crumbs on the stovetop and grit on the ground, led us to believe that the home had not been appropriately cleaned before our arrival. We are extraordinarily clean people and this was very unfortunate. It also led to our 3 star rating. Could be a nice option if it was properly cleaned and maintained.
