Stinky terrible smell

First, I'll start with the positive aspects of the accommodation: -Excellent location (only 3–4 minutes from the historic city center), with a grocery store on the ground floor and close to public transportation. The building itself is a beautiful, well-maintained historic property. -The room was spacious and equipped with most of what you need for preparing meals. The bathroom was also spacious, and the decorative elements were classy. Overall, it was a practical and functional place to stay. -Check-in was straightforward, with clear and easy-to-follow instructions. -Apart from the noise of the trains from the central station, the apartment was generally quiet. With the windows closed, you can sleep comfortably unless you're an especially light sleeper. -Plenty of storage space.

The negative aspects: -An incredibly unpleasant musty smell greeted us as soon as we entered the apartment. At first, we thought it was coming from outside since the apartment overlooks an inner courtyard with a garbage collection area. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. The smell came from the floors, which had apparently been cleaned with a dirty mop, and from the bed linens and towels, which had been washed and dried inside the apartment in a small, unventilated storage closet. The closet was left open throughout our stay because it couldn't be closed. The fact that this storage room was left accessible was also disappointing because it wasn't something guests should be seeing—cleaning products, laundry, and various supplies were all left in plain sight. However, there was one positive aspect: we found a new mop in the closet and decided to mop the entire apartment ourselves in an attempt to get rid of the smell coming from the floor. That first night, we couldn't sleep because of the odor coming from the bed linens. Eventually, we removed the sheets completely and slept without them. The following day, we washed all the bed linens and towels ourselves (fortunately, the host had left a laundry detergent capsule). We even had to wash our clean pajamas from our suitcase because, after just one night, they had absorbed the same terrible smell. By the evening everything had dried, but the odor hadn't disappeared completely—it seems to have become deeply embedded in the fabric. Once we removed the bed linens, we also discovered how worn out and stained the pillows were. They also had an unpleasant smell, although not as strong as the linens. This was by far the worst part of our stay. We've never experienced anything like this at any accommodation before. It felt disrespectful toward guests and showed a lack of care for the comfort people are paying for.

Nice apartment, good location.

Location very good, just a few steps from modern shopping center (in the building of the train station), and 5 minutes walk from the city center. Minimarket with everything useful and fresh coffe for breakfast (take away if you want) just next door, open 6-23.

Excellent stay in Krakow !

Impeccable apartment! Historic building, 2 very large rooms, artistically decorated, with all amenities included. Very clean and chic. Located 3 min from the train station and 5 min walk to the Old Center. Very quiet street, shops on the ground floor of the building.

Absolutely recommend this apartment when visiting Krakow

Very stylish, beautiful apartment. All the necessary utilities. Very clean and cozy. Excellent neighbourhood. Literally 3 minutes from the train station and huge shopping mall Galeria Krakowska. And about 5 minutes from the very city centre. Tram stop is also very close. Little supermarket is right near the entrance. Fantastic place for exploring the city. Nice and friendly host.
