Direct oceanfront condo with boating access and day docks on the sound side. Dunescape Villas 243 is a 2nd floor, oceanfront condo with beautiful views from the living room, and screened in porches! The Master bedroom has a private porch looking out over the ocean with a king size bed and flat panel TV. Second bedroom with queen bed, flat panel TV. Third bedroom with 2 twins, TV/DVD player. Ceiling fans in all the bedrooms. Living room with sleeper sofa, 37" flat panel TV, Blu-Ray/DVD. Kitchen is fully equipped with Keurig and dishwasher. Washer/Dryer. Wireless Internet. Other amenities include oceanfront pools, outside shower, elevators, access to Bogue Sound, boat storage available, ask property manager for details. grill/BBQ (charcoal) and access with a boardwalk leading to the beach.

We love Dunescape where we have stayed for at least one week each year since the mid 1980's and in this particular unit for the past several years. We remain overall very pleased with the unit's condition and in dealing with the rental management company. There are a few maintenance items that need to be addressed including the dryer not drying, the latch to the front screen door being very hard to open (we had to leave the door propped open), and the light over the stove being out. Also, the Dunescape HOA's policy of not allowing renters to use the parking spots under the building is highly annoying/disrepectful and effectively relegates renters to second class status while on property.

April's Retreat is a perfect getaway on one of the best beaches on the east coast! The unit is clean and well-stocked. The oceanfront views and access is worth renting alone. We would definitely return.

This unit was great. Had everything you would need! Property manager was responsive when little issues arose. We went to Harker Island and rode the ferry to Cape Lookout. Nice day trip. Had fun all around Atlantic Beach, Emerald Isle and Beaufort including aquarium, kayaking and mini golf. .

Great stay as always!
Besides a couple of things not cleaned and/or left behind from a previous renter, the rental was great! This is our second year here and I am sure we will rebook. The view is spectacular and Edith (property manager) has always been available to help with anything and everything!

we liked the location. the elevator was broken from Thursday-Saturday.
the elevator situation made it so our 93 year old mother was not able to stay eith us or enjoy the beach. this was very sad for us all

Clean and convenient
The unit was very clean and nicely equipped. Loved the no-contact check in. We had a wonderful family vacation!

The condo is nice and updated. It was weird that they had notes that said “do not use “ on silverware and plates even tho there’s a dishwasher. Beach was beautiful but not easy to access if older or handicapped. Awesome location! Clean except for balconies really needed vacuuming or sweeping. Pools were great but there are no hot tubs. Seems like there used to be but they’ve made them kiddie pools. Overall, we had a wonderful trip!

8 adults aged 60-20 stayed in April’s Retreat. The beds were comfy and the linens kitchen were well stocked with everything we needed. Beautiful balcony view of the beach and quick access to the pool. In the morning, a nice 2-1/2 mile walk down the beach for a great breakfast at the pier or 4 Corners. We will come again and be delighted to get this unit. The unit manager, Edith, was easy to communicate with and answered all our questions before arrival.

The condo is nice and updated. It was weird that they had notes that said “do not use “ on silverware and plates even tho there’s a dishwasher. Beach was beautiful but not easy to access if older or handicapped. Awesome location! Clean except for balconies really needed vacuuming or sweeping. Pools were great but there are no hot tubs. Seems like there used to be but they’ve made them kiddie pools. Overall, we had a wonderful trip!

It was not fun waking up to hammering, sawing and a non stop air compressor. Thankfully, the listing agent is sending us a check for $1200 for the nights we didn’t end up staying!!!
