This hotel has the BEST shower I've ever used in Japan! It has a giant shower head on the ceiling, I believe they're called rain shower heads? Most showers I've used in Japan hotels are small with a hand held shower head and the pressure is hit or miss. The pressure in this shower head was exceptional and it just felt so nice.
I also loved the location. Very close to Nankinmachi (Kobe Chinatown), Motomachi street (shopping and food vendors), Higashimon street (the main night life area in Kobe). Also very close to many shrines and temples, as well as a few parks. Hotel is about a 20-30 minute walk to the Port of Kobe where there is the port tower you can go up in, as well as Merikan park which is very nice. All on the water. The view from the top of the port tower is amazing.
The staff was phenomenal. They were so nice and welcoming!
Oh this hotel is also DIRECTLY across the street from a Donki (Don Quijote)! It's also a couple minute walk to the main Sannomiya station.
Beds were a bit firm which I know is the norm in Japan. I'm a side sleeper so it's always a bit uncomfortable, but I hear firm mattresses are great for back sleepers! The room was also a bit small. I paid the same price for one night here as a 2 night stay in Osaka with an entire living room and kitchen area separate from the bedroom area.

Great location --accessible transit, close to city center. Clean facilities.
Bed was very uncomfortable (two twin beds stuck together, disguised as a larger bed). Staff were not particularly friendly by Japanese standards
