It was modern, stylish and really close to the park
The hotel was literally a bed for the night. There was nothing special. We spent a long time searching for the right hotel for us before we booked and we thought we could rely on Hilton.
The “on site Starbucks” was actually a 3rd party coffee shop which used Starbucks beans… not an actual Starbucks. It was only open until 2pm and the snacks were mostly pre-packed rubbish.
The bar/restaurant didn’t open until 3pm so if you were at the pool in the day there was a period of time where you couldn’t get a drink from anywhere!
I asked reception if I could buy a coffee at 3pm as the bar didn’t serve any hot drinks at all and I was told to either walk round to the Marriott (another hotel) or make one in my room???! How is that acceptable?
The bar/restaurant was always dead… a woman sat on her laptop most of the afternoon at the bar who I think was the bar manager? And another woman serving… both who seemed like they would rather be anywhere else other than serving customers.
We ate at the bar once and the food was good to be fair but the portion sizes for kids were a joke. Childs Mac & Cheese was literally 3 mouthfuls for $13
It was not the holiday pool & hotel we dreamed of :(
The air con in the room was SO LOUD! Honestly it was just ridiculous.
Then there was the construction work… which can’t be helped but I think I should have been informed before we arrived. The new car park being built was next to the pool so it sounded like world war 3 ALL day every day. Being by the pool was not relaxing.
We mentioned our issues to various different staff members but nothing was ever done, no one cared.
It really did put a dampener on our holiday. I would never book this hotel again… with so many other amazing hotels all along the strip and just metres away there are better ways to spend your money.
It didn’t feel like a Hilton at all.
