Very impressed as a solo older female needing accommodation in Ban Phe before crosssing to Ko Samet but also an excellent mainland base as its facilities and staff are first class. Room was spacious, very comfortable bed, nice bathroom - everything new and tastefully thought through. Breakfast was a full buffet, not the continental I was expecting, of cooked Asian & Western fare served in a pleasant restaurant or outside in the garden - a lovely bonus! As was the pool and very pleasant staff. Highly recommended!

The room was very comfortable including the bed. The staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very diverse. The pool looked clean but I never went in. It really is a nice place.
What I didn't like has nothing to do with the hotel but rather the street it is on. During the day it's fine but come early evening and evening it's almost impossible to walk down it as there are a pack of dogs that are aggressive. I counted 10 at one point and it's impossible to keep eyes on all of them. The hotel will shuttle you down to the end of the lane though.

Very pleasantly surprised. We chose it mainly for the location near the pier for Koh Samet and the reasonable price, but it exceeded expectations. Modern, smart and very clean. The room was well laid out with a huge widescreen TV, good fridge, clean bathroom and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent, especially for the price – proper buffet and all included. They also organised a tuk-tuk to the pier for us the next morning which made everything very easy. Great value for money and I would definitely stay again.
The air conditioning wasn’t particularly effective and was a bit noisy – it probably just needs a service. Also, if you plan to walk to the beach from the hotel, be aware there are quite a lot of stray dogs along parts of the route. They weren’t aggressive, but a short tuk-tuk or taxi might be more comfortable, especially in the evening.
